Title: wiley-x with a skinny face
Post by: Bow-tie Assasin on August 27, 2006, 01:51:35 PM
I was thinking of getting the Wiley-X CQC Goggles or possibly the XL-1.
Now i have a thin face and normal glasses stick out like crazy and look goofy on me. would the wiley-x do the same or would they fit fairly snug on someone with a thin facial structure?

Not to be rude or anything but... if you havent had first hand experience with wiley-x goggles, please dont try to answer this question. thanks

Ive owned the XL-1's. I also owned Romer II's. I HATED...HATED teh xl-1s. when I had them 3years ago and 50 some odd pounds lighter, i had a thin face and they would always fall off, however, the Romer II's stayed on nicely.. you can always add some 3m Rubber adhesive grip to the part near the ears. I did that and it helped alot.

I got SG-1s off eBay for about $40+shipping, including (whoopee) a carry case, as well as two sets of lenses and the goggle straps. My head is pretty big, so I can't relate, but I believe that if you used the straps correctly, got some anti-fog or added some ventilation holes to the goggles, you'd have both a nice-fitting and non-fogging pair of gogs.
