He already got the SOC.  And what's with the winding the mag with a wrench?  :?  Maybe I should get that instead of my GR25?

It says $505 for pre-order in his post.  And who's gun are you talking about?  Fish's or mine?

I really like the "tango down"-style grip and base plate, hopefully they sell that as a seperate piece.
Title:
Post by: babybackribs on October 01, 2006, 12:08:31 AM
I think they sell the grip seperately, but just not VFC.  Not sure about the base plate.

ya... if u actually have money to throw into the gun after you sell your organs to get it in the first place. lol

Post by: Fish on October 01, 2006, 08:26:53 AM
The price is well worth it. If the people have problems with the gun, they usually make a kit that they ship out to everyone to fix it or they post direction on how to fix it on WGC shop. Great company, their guns are very high quality, I wouldn't buy guns from anyone else.
Title:
Post by: babybackribs on October 01, 2006, 08:33:22 AM
So they make like "fix it yourself" kits if anything goes wrong with their guns?
Title:
Post by: Fish on October 01, 2006, 08:47:18 AM
They look like this:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wA0sJUylvRw (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wA0sJUylvRw)
that is the SP1 kit, that they will ship it to me soon. All you do is e-mail them with the serial number of your gun and address and they ship it.
And here is the fix it yourself thing
VFC AKS74UN Chamber Fix

1) Check if the chamber is in normal position.

Fig.1 Shows chamber in normal position.
Note that the gearbox covers entrance of the chamber and the wider part of the chamber is in contact with the gearbox.
Fig.2 Shows chamber in abnormal position.
The chamber is moved forward and the entrance of the chamber is NOT covered by the gearbox.
A gap about 5mm wide is visible between base of chamber and the gearbox.
2) Loosen the screw located at the base of the grip so the gearbox can slightly move.
Do not lossen the screw all the way and remove the grip. ( Fig.3 )
)

3) Open the receiver cover, push the chamber forward, release the chamber and let the spring push the chamber back. ( Fig.4 )
Slowly tighten the grip screw and adjust the position of the gearbox. At the same time, and keep pushing and releasing the chamber.
When chamber is blocked again, loose the grip screw a little bit and check if the chamber can be pushed into normal position by the spring.
Keep trying until maximum tightness of grip screw is found, as long as the chamber can be pushed by the spring smoothly.

4) If the chamber cannot be pushed into normal position by the spring.
Loosen the grip screw again and remove the selector lever.
Use a pair of pliers to turn the selector cap, cover the selector cap with a piece of cloth to prevent scratches or damage.( Fig.5 )
Repeat step (3) and install the selector lever.

Sorry for the long off-topic post, but that's what it is. Great service too, they reply e-mails within a day.
EDIT: Also, one of the guys from red-alliance, his pistol grip broke, so they just sent him a new one.

im not too much into M4s...hardly at all, but something about a german tweaked M4 just sounds amusing.

- I agree with Fish, VFC is a great company. They're adopting most of the good qualities of other airsoft companies, and the price of their stuff is well worth it. I'm planning on getting an M4 in the future, but not this particular version.

- Also, the two AK-74s from VFC, long versions, folding and full stock, are releasing this quarter of 2006. The AKM with grenade launcher is releasing quarter 1 of 2007.

man thos are nice, when we started to construct our bundeswehr group (German Army) me and a friend said that two of our friends should get those/the converion kits for their M4's, but here is a perfect example of how Germans make everything better.

VFC AKS-74 IS TO BE RELEASED LATE NOVERMBER/EARLY DECEMBER

- They did not, however, elaborate on the release date of a full, wood stock AK-74.

Well, I mean, anything not made by Colt with a particular barrel profile is not an M4.

That aside, it's an M4 variant with a gas piston.

It's on WGC shop, not on pre-order yet.

Also, a friend ordered the HK416 about 2 weeks ago. I will take pics and post them when he gets it.

You can do that with any AEG.

I know you can do it with most high end AEGs, but it's still shows the AEG is durable.
