Hey guys, Im Austin of Mesa.

..rather new to the site. But, I'm itching to get involved here.

Im very familiar with the four peaks area, and Im going to try
very hard to get my gear in order and make myself known.

I just need to track down a secondary and possibly replace my
very very smell combat boots .. (kidding!)

Figure Id pop in and say hello, and pray I can make it out!

As long as your primary is reliable you do not have to worry about a secondary. Just choose a pattern color and hopefully we will see you out there.

Right on, I use an older classic.. is that a problem?

It's under 400fps for sure, and hopefully I can outfit
a friend with a reliable rig & get him out there as well!

Ill play either way, CT or whatever is needed.

Can use anything you want as long as it meets the rules.

Also, CT is a team that is coming to the game, not a side to choose. The choices between sides is green pattern or tan pattern, CT will go on one of those sides to balance numbers.

Hope you can get outfitted and see you out at the game, should be a good day.

The link to the rules is up top.

And its Four Peaks, not four corners.
Four Peaks Recreation Area is approximately 15 miles north along Hwy 87 (Bee Line) from the intersection of Shea Blvd and 87.  Big sign says "Four Peaks Recreation Area".  Turn right.  Two miles down the dirt road is where you will turn right.  Might be hard to see so pay attention to you odometer.  Continue down that road for another 4 miles (till it ends).  You will see the AO as you approach.  Cant miss it.

Pardon me if I'm missing something obvious, but I didn't see a link to a rules page anywhere in the thread.

Also, when I say I'm new to the area and don't know where anything is, I mean it... I don't even know where in the STATE to find four peaks.  As in, what town is it near?

Thanks.

If you google map the town of Fountain Hills, AZ you should find it.  Hwy 87 and Shea Blvd are major roadways that run through it.  If you need anymore help feel free to PM me.

Hey!

Just stopped by Gearbox yesterday to stock up. I coulda swore I
saw you KOBO. I couldn't be sure cause I have no clue, just a feeling.
Had to pick up a few things, and ask a few questions. Everyone was
talken about the Four peaks run. Very friendly shop, love it.

One thing I forgot to ask is, common face protection? You guys
where full mask or just some quality high-impact shades?

I got both rigs operational, and UDTFrog+1 will be there.

Is anyone going to be carpooling to the AO?  My car hasn't been doing too well lately, and I don't want to take it off the pavement.

Also, I remember last time there was a game at Four Peaks there was talk about not being able to park at the Conoco, does anyone know about this?  Where can I park?
Title:
Post by: TheStenGun on April 02, 2008, 06:55:50 AM
I am pretty sure we can use the casino parking for leaving cars during the day.
Title:
Post by: KOBO on April 02, 2008, 08:45:19 AM
That reminds me, do not leave your cars at Conoco, last reports threatened they will tow the vehicle. I think some people started using the casino parking, but I do not know if that is secure or not eaither, use at your own risk.

I need someone to lead the convoy from Conoco to 4 Peaks still, make sure they leave at 730. My guys and I will already be down there tryingto set up.

Any one volunteer?

Okay, got all my gear (drove from Sierra Vista to Palmdale CA yesterday... drove back this morning... damn am I tired), so I should be there in green.

A couple quick hits, again forgive if I ask anything obvious:

-I didn't see anything about magazines, so I'm assuming high caps are okay?

-What, if any, services are available at the site?  Specifically in terms of water, latrines, 120v power to hook up battery chargers.

-Ammo is on site, or procured beforehand?

-If anyone is in the Sierra Vista/ Ft Huachuca area and wants to carpool, PM me.

None.

Procured beforehand.

Okay, since the standard rules say excel .20 or .25 biodegradable only... where the hell can I get my hands on some of those?  Any shops in the Sierra Vista area carry them?

I may have to cancel if I get stuck working late Friday... wouldn't get out until midnight, and it's at least a three hour drive from Sierra Vista to the game.  Ouch.

You can use any weight you want to, just as long as your gun us under 400FPS with .20s

You do not need to have Bios, bios are nice for enviromental reasons, but the area we are at has more issues the BBs

Gearbox told me, Bio's are allowed, but ..you can use what they
have in-house or whatever. I picked up a few bags of some standard
.20g's.

He said Bio's are expensive, and not that popular for
weekend skirmishes. But, again.. I don't know too much yet.

A true airsofter would walk to a game ;) You'll find a way

So if anyone sees a person walking down Bee Line in BDUs wearing a tactical vest and carrying a gun case STOP and pick them up.

Roster update, Nation of Green will be represented by woodland and multicam. The Nation of Tan will be represented by desert and ACU.

Remember someone on the teams need a digital camera, some objectives require photographs if your nation is victorious in previous battles.

GPS can be an asset, however maps will be used as well to direct as well as BAS contractors.

Sorry guys, but due to lack of ride and a request to help with a school event tomorrow, I'm gonna have to cancel on you.

Good luck, stay safe.

Had to steal a truck, but me and Nukeduster should be there to represent DC-Ops.  Think he's bringing a battle buddy; we'll make sure he's on green too.  Me and nuke use multicam.

Cyall out there!

Good game today fellas.  There were a few snafus with atv'ers and also a bit of confusion what to do after one of the missions.  But other than that I had a great time.  Nation of Green guys owned us Tan for most of the day if felt like.  Good times as always!

I had a phenomal time, everyone was friendly and just
a pleasure to chat with. I will definitely make the next event!

The CT guys were a class act, had a great time meeting most
of them. I couldn't meet everyone, but ..I tried to befriend
everyone I could.  Im extremely happy the classics held strong,
and performed very well!

The only tricky part, was the lack of radio's on Green.

Thanks BAS, you guys are awesome.
