Hello, I just received a KJW M700 in a trade, and it turns out it doesn't work. The one mag that holds gas fits fine, but when fired nothing happens, just a small "bloop" which isn't even enough to force the BB out of the barrel. (yes i did put gas in the mag.) Any diagnosis or advice will be greatly appreciated.

Ahh...so my friend's KJW M700 wasnt the only one that was doing it. Well, you're in luck, its a simple fix. I'll link you to a video since explaining it by words is a little too exhausting. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GD9g5UnU2qk (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GD9g5UnU2qk) This video is explaining how to adjust the FPS, in your case what you want to do is tighten the spring tensioner/spring guide all the way into the sear, and tighen the grommet onto it to lock it. Its extremely sensitive, my friend was testing his and i think every quarter turn of the spring tensioner results in about 15-30 fps change.

I have no clue if i did it wrong or something, but that didnt work  . Thanks for the advice though.
EDIT: also if it helps, it appears that the button on the bolt that goes down when fired appears to be much quieter than it should be

hmm if your sure you tightened the spring guide into the sear (the "button") then maybe you need a new striker spring, but usually doing what i told you fixes the problem right away.. hmmmm :-k

I think I might just take it in to APD, they have always done a good job.

BOUGHT A KJW M700. I AM INTO DISTANCE AND ACCURACY, AND NOT SO MUCH GAMES. WENT AIRSOFT TO AVOID LIABILITIETS, ETC.
WHAT IS THE BEST BB WEIGHT?
WHAT IS THE BEST DISTANCE W/ACCURACY STOCK? WILL ADJUSTING THE TENSION HELP ACCURACY? I'M LOOKING FOR 2" GROUPING.
WHAT DO YOU NEED TO GET A TIGHT BORE BARREL?
THANKS,
JEFF

The Advice/steps given are how you can do it, but the Striker spring could be slipping over the "stepped" shaft/rod it is on. (I really don't know how to explain it) Usually a small "exact fit" washer will fix it, if that is what is happening? Another cause could be the "smashing/shortening" of the "firing pin" or the valve on the back of the mag. Figure it out or you got Gearbox in Tempe or whatever other Place/options you choose
