understand, i am not hosting a scenario or anything of the sort this weekend... rather, i made this thread so those interested in attending the venue can see who is going on which day, and we can maximize the game(s). i understand MTT is hosting an event on saturday night, that is completely separate. the field will still be open for play for other players throughout the weekend, MTT will have the field rented out for their event.
for those who are new to vanguard, all of the information you can ask for is located on their website. i will post it here for ease of access

sunday: 12pm-4pm (session 1), 4pm-8pm (session 2)

Pricing:
monday: closed
tuesday: closed
wednesday: $15 per session
thursday: $15 per session
friday: $20 per first session, $10 for second/third session (purchase one session, get $10 off the next..)
saturday: $20 per first session, $10 for second/third session (purchase one session, get $10 off the next..)
sunday: $20 per session, $10 for second session (purchase one session, get $10 off the next..)
if you buy two sessions, you get the third free (day of..)
rental equipment: $15 per session, $5 for second/third session (purchase rental for one session, get $10 off the next..)
BBs: $5.00 for 1000 house BB's, or $3.00 for 500. (house ammunition is required to play at the VIP)

the weight is .20, i called to find out what brand they use and he couldn't give me an answer.. i did find out that they buy them in bulk.
i asked if players could bring their own ammunition if it was in a brand new sealed container, but they won't allow it. my reasons behind that question were that some players prefer to only use a certain manufacturer's ammo, but it is what it is.
if their munitions screw up my rifles, i'm not footing the bill! ;) (just kidding, i'm not worried about it at all)

Their ammunition is echo 1 rebrands .20's I have been using their brand since I have been playing (9 mos now) so I can reassure that their bb's are fine!

The fps limits are broken down into three tiers.
Green tier is 330 and under
Yellow tier is 350 and under
Red tier is 380 and under
The great majority of the games that will be played will be green tier only. Yellow tier will only be used if a number of the players have guns that chrono under 350. and Red tier will rarely be used and is for players ages 18+
To make things simple on yourselves, bring a gun that chrono's at 330 or under and you will be able to play in every game.

they are employing a "tier" system..
from what i remember in our discussions, it will be like this;
< 330 for tier 1
330 - 350 for tier 2
350 - 380 for tier 3
lower tiers can play with higher tiers, but not vice versa..

affirmative, i have confirmation that an iron mask and sealed goggles are acceptable PPE. in fact, that is what our whole team uses ;)

Me and at least one of my friends might be there for the majority of the day but the others might leave after the first one.

lol!! well, i took him out to one of rebel union's night games on a weekend a couple months back and he loved it.. and this is right down the street, + AC, + lights, + not a huge ass field, so it is very appealing haha.
i've been buying even more secondary gear for him to use in anticipation of him getting addicted to the VIP :lol:

I do play I still have a gun. Just my games are very limited. I will be at Harvester on the 4th. (games are kinda hard to make when you work 5am to 1pm on sat and Sun)

I just got my new m4 and a bunch of new mags today :D Can't wait for sunday to break em in!!!
Also theres a good sub place right across the street that I'll probably end up going to since my friend works there :D

we'll probably just do stuff on the fly like VIP (capture/protect), CTF, all vs all elimination, snowball, etc
shit, we could even try a counter-strike type plant/defuse scenario... i wrote up a hostage scenario on the old steelworks forum, i'll look for that
okay, here are a few i had written up a while back for mil-sim type games, and CQB.. they are probably a bit too complex to be done at this point, but what the heck
Force on Force - DEFUSAL
-force A (terrorists?) must escort a demolition man (or multiple demo men?) to a pre-determined site within the AO (possibly multiple sites to be chosen from, site A, and site B)
-force B (counter-terrorists) must eliminate the demolition men, along with the rest of the team to prevent the charges from being planted, OR if charges are planted they must have a bomb tech defuse the charge. there could be a single bomb tech, or multiple techs.
*note - we could develop a cool little bomb, maybe an old suitcase with an old laptop inside that requires a software decryption sequence + with a timer that goes off after X seconds of being armed [unless the techs decrypt the device] (timer beeps; simulating an explosion..or maybe a sound clip of an explosion?). another way is to take some plywood, and have the bombers be required to tie a pattern with rope or something, then set an alarm on the "bomb" which would simulate an explosion when it hits 0.. then the bomb techs would have to untie the rope before the timer hits 0, that could be toyed with as well.
Force on Force - VIP
-force A must escort a single person of importance through a series of checkpoints. there could be two checkpoints, there could be three, even more. force A needs to make sure that the VIP makes it to the evac site without being hit (shot). force A does not need to elimate the opposing force (force B) the VIP *MUST* hit each checkpoint, IN ORDER. this is to simulate traveling through enemy territory to get to the evac site. (this could be toyed with a little, but thats a general idea) VIP may be armed with only a pistol, or with no weapon at all.
-force B must prevent the escape of the VIP at all costs. they are allowed to engage and kill said VIP, along with any players on force A.
Force on Force - Hostage Rescue
-force A must defend one, two, four, six (whatever) hostages for X amount of minutes. force A must prevent physical contact between hostages and force B (more info in force B's objectives).
-force B must successfully escort ALL hostages to the extraction point. operators on force B must *physically touch and maintain physical contact WITH all hostages*. this can be obtained by piggy-backing (see example below). while any operator is in transit with hostage(s) in tow, IF THEY ARE SHOT, hostages must stop WHERE THEY STAND! until another operator comes to resume transportation of the said hostage(s)
piggy-backing example; me and mike clear a room full of hostages.. i instruct hostages to hold hands, link arms, or some other gay shit. i then put my hand on ONE of the hostages shoulders, or wherever else. by doing this, i am effectively keeping contact with all hostages at once, therefore i can move them all at once. me and mike would then proceed towards the evac zone, eliminating enemies in our path with extreme prejudice.
another way, i take 2 hostages by piggy-backing, mike takes 2 hostages by piggy backing, soap takes the third himself.. then we proceed towards the evac.
or any other combination. some rules we could have; no using hostages as human shields. no firing upon hostages (doing so will result in hostage casualty, and subsequent game loss).
just a few ideas i had put together based on the popular game CS ;)

the force on force vip would be great for a field like vip. set it up like drug lord getting removed from a 10,000 sqft house while the dea is kicking down the front doors...or president or what ever but perfect for vip's field.

I have a custom variation of CTF that might be fun for you guys to try out.
Reinforcements
Standard Capture the Fag but the teams can go back for reinforcements and the players you've eliminated go back to defend their flag station.
Teams:
Two teams.
Setting Up:
1. Two flag stations.
2. Two even teams.
3. Two flags, hung in their respective flag stations.
4. Flag stations double as Reinforcement Rally points.
Time Limit:
30 minutes.
Rules:
1. Eliminated players go back to their flag station.
2. One player wears a special armband. This is the only player that can go back to the flag station to get reinforcements.
3. If the player wearing the armband is eliminated, he proceeds back to the flag station. He then collects those players who wish to rejoin the game and he himself rejoins the game. In this case the eliminated players don't have a choice but to be reinforcements. They cannot stay behind and defend the flag station.
4. Players can elect to stay behind and defend the flag station, with the exception of REINFORCEMENTS Rule 3. When they return to the flag station they are automatically active defenders.
5. Players returning to the flag station must physically tag the flag to become active defenders. If the flag is not at the flag stations the players are considered out of the game as they enter the flag station.
6. All players must begin the game at their flag station (or assigned starting point) and cannot leave that area until the game begins.
7. Players who are hit are out of the game but the player is only out until he reaches his flag station. Players eliminated at the flag station are out of the game.
8. If a player is eliminated while he is carrying the flag, he must drop the flag where he was hit, or hang it on the nearest available object.
9. Players who are eliminated may not, by word or gesture, indicate any intentions or locations of the opposing team members.
10. Players eliminated in their own flag stations are out of the game.
11. When a player is carrying the flag, it must remain visible at all times and must be carried in the hand, over the arm or around the neck.
Winning:
Capture the opposing team's flag and return it to your base.
Tactical Advantage:
You will have to keep in mind that every member of the assault force you eliminate will be back defending the flag. If you get to the flag station and you're low on players, send back for reinforcements. Remember, if you send back for reinforcements and the flag station is being attacked, you will lose defenders and probably your flag.

I had a lot of fun out there, I was a little lost on the field at first, but by the end of the day I had developed my bearings. It is a great field setup that was well thought out.
