Title: Operation Gold War part 2 pole added
Post by: PhoenixShadowCompany on February 18, 2012, 04:14:05 PM
We are proud to announce the final arrival of operation gold war part 2  for those of you who are not familiar with the gold-war story line a link below will be provided to the thread for op gold-war the beginning. with in the next few weeks we will begin releasing information concerning the location of this event.  we would like to start this thread to get input from the people who went to the original gold-war to make this one fare superior that the original. as some of you may know we had over 200 participants at the first gold-war and believe we can double that number at this one. prices will be the normal for PSC milsims $20 pre registered and $40 at the door.More info will come soon  So again we would like input to make this game the best it can be.

Thanks PSC Staff

Like you already mentioned, the waiting periods should be shortened by alot and I think you guys should be prepared for the large number of people. I remember one of your guys saying the you guys didn't expect the turn out you got, which resulted into a few problems. And obviously the stray dog and random lady in the helicopter isn't something that you can prepare for. Fightertown is probobly the best location for it.

the 2 locations in mind are sasco and the sandbox. If done at the sandbox we will have plenty of staff on primes due to having both MTT staff and PSC staff

Sounds good. I'm not sure how Fightertown managed to fit 200 people in it but I'm sure Sandbox or SASCO would be wayyy better for this many people. And you guys want around 400 people? I'd die of happiness if you managed that!

If you had it at Fightertowm, you could ask Henry if you could use all the fields for this or at least almost all of them.

we had a hard enough time using all 4 fields with 200 fighter town is too small for what were shooting for

If hosted at The Sand Box, MTT is building a Marine Vietnam style firebase over the summer and early fall.  It will be complete with command building, medical center, fox holes, and tower.  This could easily serve as a military/PMC base and objective for the enemy.

The location will be used during the upcoming 68: Firebase Aries, a Vietnam War/zombie adventure sponsored by the comic in October 2012.

update. Gold War part 2 will be hosted some time in November. the exact date will be determined within the next few weeks.

the pole will remain up until Monday February  20th however we are leaning towards the sandbox due to the advantage that we can use pyrotechnics for special effects and the urban facilities

I went with the Sandbox, because A, it's closer, B, it's got purpose-built structures, and C, we can use pyrotechnics and/or smoke grenades without worrying about lighting the desert on fire.

I've never been to Sandbox but from what I've heard it sounds like the best option. What are the road conditions like to get there, compared to SASCO?

Awesome! As for input, the Sandbox sounds like it would be the most interesting because of all of the buildings there. SASCO is nice because there are a few buildings but it is pretty open. I don't think there is enough cover at SASCO for that many people. If you think about it, 200 people at SASCO would be ridiculous. Either way I think a game with that many people would be somewhat boring without a good amount of man-made structures, vehicles, and unique objectives.
