I'm thinking no replica eotech or aim point. Something that will handle recoil.
Maybe you have a SPARC or strike fire gathering dust in the closet. I'm limited to about 4" of rail space.

Acog's are magnified red-dots...

I can't justify the 1200$ for an acog.

If you want a real deal magnifier, you are going to have to spend some major dollars. If you have that little rail space, a micro will probably be ideal. Find a decent optic (Bushnell Micro, Aimpoint T-1 or H-1, Eotech XPS, etc.) then buy the magnifier. Based on their other products that I have experience with, Aimpoint and Eotech would probably be the way to go in terms of magnifiers. For some of the Aimpoints, you are going to have to buy a mount for both the magnifier and the red dot (going to cost more)
My personal choice (if I had the money) would be an Aimpoint T-1 with an Eotech G33. The Eotech magnifiers have an included flip mount and are overall less expensive.
Unfortunately, you might want to contact someone with more experience than myself. I have never owned a magnifier and am basing my statements of what I've read. Just thought I'd throw in my 2 cents.
I hope this helped. =)

One of my buddies have the exact same setup, and I personally love it. Yes, it may be on the pricey side, but is it worth it? Yes.

Go with a primary arms magnifier. There about $100 and work great. They put out product on par and some times better than aimpoint and eotech.

I have a vortex strikefire but I think I want something even smaller. Keep the overall profile lower
-
I hear a vortex sparc and a 3x magnifier is the hot ticket.... For AR15
For an AK. Just use 3/4" PVC pipe and you'll have a sweet sniper Bro....
-
I can get the pvc for you and its free LOL!
