Title: ACU/UCP and Multicam for teams.
Post by: buttfacedmonkey on May 15, 2013, 07:05:22 PM
I'm not sure if this thread already exist, but I've noticed that there are difficulties in setting up teams at games when people are wearing Multicam and ACU. It either resorts to the teams being set up and then the ACU/MC buys being spread accordingly or one camo will go to the other side while  the other camo goes to the other. This does give some wiggle room to allow even teams but causes some confusions in IFFs and friendly fire especially during night games.

To end the confusion and make life easier, I propose that Multicam be forever Green and ACU be forever Tan. Thoughts or suggestions?

No. Leave it up to the organizers of the event. Heck, TPA had a "multi vs everyone" game down at SASCO. That was a good time...

Good thought, but i don't think anyone would really use it. I know what you're going for, and i back you up, but i agree with Bob. Just leave it up to the organizers.

Yup, I can't remember the name of the game off the top of my head but there was a game about a month ago that said you weren't allowed to wear any camo currently worn by the United States Military, so I agree that you should let it be up to the organizers.

Also remember that different brands of multicam look different, not to mention how old / dirty it is.

I've played in games where I couldn't tell the difference between multicam and M81 woodland at a distance, and been at games where it looked like chocolate chip camo.

Honestly, I miss the days of 3/5 color vs woodland.

Full Multicam Uniform: BDUs are recommended, though TRUs are acceptable (velcro is an unnecessary noise hazard).

Absolutely agree. Camouflage, as far as airsoft goes (considering range), is pretty useless. Not to mention the economic angle (haven't found multicam at Goodwill; M81, tons.).

This video kind of proves this. All the same pattern, but a notable difference between the fabrics.

This time period preceded me. I came in when ACU was on the rise among airsofters.
