Title: Sound Grenades
Post by: AKGuy on February 08, 2015, 05:46:48 PM
Will something like this be taken seriously at any airsoft game or field?

Hmmmm, not sure it would unless it was seriously loud. Nothing like seeing thunder b grenades coming at you! You know its going to be loud and you will be feeling it in the confined space your hiding in.

In the video the guy used an alarm from a smoke detector.

It doesn't turn off unless the button is depressed, I see a lot of people getting annoyed at this on the field.

I was thinking of adding a suse to the circuit that will burn out after a few seconds. That also will make it a one time use until you can replace the fuse.

The Desert Hawks use a version of these. We use a $2.50 Harbor Freight window alarm. They are taken seriously at local milsim games but no longer usable at big events such as Lion Claws. They are too easily reused.

This what I use as well as other people around

$153 for the grenade (ordered directly from SWAT), or $175 will get it and the shotgun primer adapter (again directly form the manufacturer). I paid $150 with the adapter from Spazz here on AA. There are other people in the mix that want to be dealers as well.

I use shotgun primers at $0.04 for each shot, and I have thrown it in a game or demonstrated it no less than 180 times. That is $158 spent. 180 Thunder B's would cost $450 in shells and C02 cartridges, not to mention the cores that usually become unserviceable quickly and need to be heavily modified to get them to go off in a timely manner.

Got one of those also from Spazz $150 and I got 3 adapters. 9mm,12 gauge and 12 gauge primers. Just had a kydex holster made for mine by Govenator

I just use shotgun primers, but have the same adapters that Red Devil uses.

I will be making an order from SWAT VTG in April if you want to jump in on it.

PM me on my forums or shoot me a text at 5204299590 and identify yourself. I can order them direct now for what Spazz was charging for them then. Currently, if you order 3 or more they are $156 each with the extra shotgun primer adapter. No profit just a group buy.

You don't need it, and can get 50 x 9mm blanks for $18 at cheaper than dirt, and many other places. The VTG alone is $133.39 shipped and it comes with the ability to use the 9mm (.38 cal) and 12ga blanks with no additional cost.

just thought id hop in here since i am the local az dealer for the vtg line of grenades.

the vtg line of grenades now come with the .209 shotgun primer adapter included so there is no longer any need to buy the adapter seperatly.

How many orders do you need to make it happen?

i can take any number of orders now. even individual units. shipping has allways been the issue as shipping from the uk is quite expensive.
i have worked things out with swat so that shipping for usa dealers for small orders is a lil bit cheaper and easier to do.
