Ive tried going on airsoftplayers.com to look at there review guide but it is not helping a bit. Ive tried it several time but came out to have the same results every time. It would fire 2-5 times and then lock up. im thinking that its just the timing but i still cant figure it out. HELP!!!

What kind of AEG?
What I do is fire full auto after re-assembling, then fire a few shots with a steady, constant, full trigger pull on semi. I have never had problems. That is with my M4, version 2 gearbox.
-
its an CA M15A4 version rifle
-
i tried that and it doesnt work. it just continues to lock up.

What exactly did you change in the mechbox?
Is the battery fully charged?
Is it shimmed correctly?
-
replacing the rev latch spring.old one broke.

My best guess is that you have the gears incorrectly shimmed, reopen the gear box and fiddle around with them. Every time that you try something new, put the top of the gear box on with out the spring or the screws and put you fingers on the bushings and gear axels, there should be a little play between the gears. Additionally, if you look in between the gears while the mechbox is still open, there should be a small space in between each.

Sometimes the best thing to do is just to find a clean table and take the entire gearbox apart and then grease the system and talk your way through putting it back together making sure that each pice is carefully examined and placed in exactly the way that it should go and function. Once you are sure that the whole gearbox system is functioning correctly and each part is where it should, but the gun still has a problem then you may need to look to other failures in the system such as the hop up, I struggled with misfeeding in my M4 and after taking apart the gearbox several times I found it to be the hop up that was causing the firing problem.
It realy sounds like we need to have a gun fixing seminar at Jung Letoy's place and bring everyone with problems in for one large gun fixing marathon.

We'd need to rent out a ballroom at a major hotel for that one! I don't think Jung has the capacity for all the guys with gat trouble in AZ!

We're working on doing exactly that. Any help finding a location that we can get that holds about 50 people and is inexpensive would be appreciated.

Take a look at this thread, about half-way down Harley correctly diagnoses the problem and then you can read on about how to fix it.

You may have a broken pin in your gearbox.

I think that would be really cool. It could be broken up into different parts: identification of gearbox parts, how to upgrade a gearbox, common problems and how to fix them, and a hands on section. I would go to something like that.

AEG 101
LOL
I love it when guys take there guns apart and sell them cause they cant reassembly them.
