General Airsoft Game Discussion / Re: WW2 Airsoft

I'd play. Alhtough, all I have that is authentic to WW2 would be my M1 Thompson. But hey, that's the most expensive part. I'd just need a GI uniform and I'd be good to go.

Real Firearms / Re: Obama and guns

I'd be curious to see what, if anything, Obama can do to adversely effect firearm owners.  He might get something passed which taxes ammo. But that will put more money into the governement/economy, so it will serve some good. Yeah, if you like to go out and shoot full auto all weekend and burn a few thousand rounds, then it might hit you in the pocket book. But let's face it, if you can afford to flush money away on a bunch of ammo, then you can afford the extra tax on your ammo.

I agree though that the "He's gonna' take r' guns!" response is a little premature.

Maybe if you only used pistols and grenades it might be better. But what's the point of having all these aeg's if someone can just toss a grenade in the room you and your guys are in and say "Bang, you're all dead."?

Not sure how necessary an airsoft hand grenade would be in combat, but I suppose it could add a certain element to the battle. I just hope they are made of plastic and not metal. Wouldn't want one to land on my head.

Accessories & Gear / Re: Real cap mags

Ok, thanks, that's a start. I know about the compatibity issues so I'm reluctant to buy a ten pack unless it says its compatible with Dboyz, but none say that. At the AS store they had some m-16 mags up there with like 60 round capacity which I actually tested and fit, so I may go up there again and buy them. Don't know about my Thompson though. The box said it came with a 63 round mag, but it was actually a 300 round hi cap mag. So I know those low cap thompson mags exists somewhere too.

Those hi caps just get annoying sometimes.

Yeah, the whole point is that I know they exist I just don't know where to buy them from.

Accessories & Gear / Real cap mags

I'm looking to buy some real or low cap magazines for a D-boys M-16 mod01 and a M1Thompson but every place I go only seems to have hi-cap mags, which I specifically DON'T want.

Anyone know of a good website that might have these mags compatible with those guns?

CheaperThanDirt dot com has a nice looking desert ghillie for about $80. There are a lot of positive customer reviews on it so I bet its pretty good.

I made my own out of fabric. Its nice cuz its one piece and I can just throw it on and be fully camo'd. Doesn't make me blend in to my mini blinds but does wonders in the field.

Hey Arejay,

I'm 29 too, but no kids for me. Wow, you managed to make me feel old AND like I've missed out in life. I'll play with you if you want sometime. Maybe we can get a few more people together. Like I said, I don't have a son, but I'll have no problem shooting yours ;)

Hello,

My name is Karl and I'm from Phoenix. I just found this site today because I just ordered a Airsoft DBoys V2 Full Metal M16 SPR Mod. 1 AEG Rifle and I'm potentially looking to participate in airsoft gaming. I've owned a couple of chincy airsoft springers and have had some fun with them, so I thought I'd try getting a better gun and see if I like it. I have a lot of learning to do so it's going to take me a while to get up to speed. Looking foward to it though.
