I'm conducting a poll to find out what amount most airsoft players would be willing to pay to play on an established field, Southwest Paintball.  Southwest has multiple fields that include a small Mexican town, a castle, ship, and 16 acre field with towers, trenches, and bunkers.  

The new owners will allow airsoft players to use the property on weekends (3pm-7pm) or any weekday.  Please let me know what you think would be a fair price for admission.

The following is a list of safety concerns that US Airsoft members have noted about their experience at Soft Air Depot (SAD).  Due to these concerns, USAS will not be supporting Soft Air Depot in any manner.  Hopefully, Soft Air Depot will make the appropriate changes to improve their safety reputation.  Please note that all of these issues come from my direct experience and conversations with Soft Air Depot Management.

10.  SAD's target market is minors (ages 8-17)

9.  SAD does not carry sealed protective goggles.  SAD does sell shooting glasses.  These are considered adequate protection for minors by store management.

8.  Airsoft weapons can be dry fired in the store.  SAD staff does not check the weapons for rounds before handing it to a client.

7.  Most of the staff has little to no experience about actually playing airsoft safely (safety briefings, game rules, surrender rules, velocity limits)

6.  Store staff does not know specific product information.  Information about airsoft weapons, such shot velocity, rate of fire, and range is often made up.

5.  Chronographs are considered unnecessary by store management.

4.  Although management has stated that they can not fire airsoft weapons within the store, they have test fired weapons outside of the store in public.

3.  Management has publicly stated that they are unaware of any injuries or law suits arising from the sport.

2.  Management has publicly stated that airsoft bb's are harmless and will not damage the eye.

1.  Although SAD Management claims to request input from experienced and knowledgable players, US Airsoft has found this difficult as SAD Senior Management has a know-it-all attitude that prevents any true communication between the Airsoft Community and SAD.

SAD has a great responsibility to build a solid future for the sport of Airsoft.  If these safety concerns are not addressed, the sport's future is uncertain at best.

US Airsoft is looking for a good deal on light sticks (green, blue, yellow, orange, and red.)  We need to buy about 60 for Op SS and would like to save some $$.  Let me know if you know of a location that has some reasonable prices.

US Airsoft needs to buy some very inexpensive gas masks.  These masks don't have to work, they are a prop for ASOC II.  Please let me know where and at what price these masks may be obtained.

Some of the world’s most important dignitaries have gathered to spend the holiday season at the ranch of the President of the United States in Crawford, TX.  Disaster strikes when a highly trained terrorist organization, Phoenix Faction, assaults the ranch and captures the leaders of the US and Russia.

This scenario game is designed for players between the ages of 13-17.  US Airsoft Members over the age of 18 may volunteer to be a member of the opposing force or training cadre.

Registration for the event has closed.  Only players who have registered and payed for the event will be allowed to be on property during the training program.  The December CQB event has not been scheduled yet.  I will be contacting registered players on Thursday.

As Jungle Toy Arizona is helping promote the event, all registration is taking place at the stores.  

I believe that the Adult class will fill up completely by next week.  The Junior class (ages 14-17) may take a little longer.

US Airsoft is hosting an eight-hour Close Quarter Battle (CQB) training event for players who are interested in developing their Airsoft tactical skills in an urban environment.  The program will cover the following topics:

Airsoft Weapon Safety
Marksmanship
Tactical Shooting
Team Formation
Tactical Team Movement
Breaching Techniques
Two-Man Room Clearance
Four-Man Room Clearance
Dynamic and Deliberate Assaults

Students may register for training in one of two classes, Junior (ages 14-17) Adult (18+).  Classes are limited to 12 students each.  Players who are interested in participating must register and pay by Saturday, November 6th.  

Required Equipment
Eye Protection (full mask recommended)
Water (1 gallon)
Appropriate clothing (long sleeve style shirts and pants)
Shoes that cover the ankle (boots or high top sneakers)

AEG rifle or sub-machine gun with 2 magazines
*Note all training will use real world load outs – NO HI CAP MAGAZINES
Gas blowback pistol with 2 magazines
1000 BB's
Tactical clothing (BDU's)

Note* This event is a training program designed for players who wish to improve their tactics in Airsoft games.  The event is not a series of games or missions.  There will be no force on force activities.  Only those players who have attended official USAS CQB Training (past or present)will be authorized to participate in the next CQB event (December).  The December event will involve  CQB Missions similar to the Cajun House events of the summer.
