Airsoft Items FOR SALE / WTS: Digital Desert (MARPAT) BDU Jacket
« on: November 15, 2006, 06:48:13 PM »
I am selling a jacket in the digital desert pattern (similar to, although not exactly the same as, Desert MARPAT).  It is a size medium, manufactured by 5.11 tactical so you know it's good quality.

I have had it for about six months now, it has been washed and is clean but shows no signs of fading or wear.  Item includes the original badge holder and shoulder straps, none of which have been sewn on so you can customize them to fit your body type/preference.  Includes sewing instructions.  Like all 5.11 tactical products, this includes all kinds of extras like a sleeve pen holder, mesh and air vents in the back to circulate air and dry up sweat, and so on and so forth.  The product  page can be seen here.

This item is in perfect condition.  I just want to buy Tru-Specs so they match my pants and are more realistic.

Retail price is $49.99, but they no longer make digi patterns.

I am selling this for $20.  Shipping is preferred (for $5 extra) or I can meet at JT Scottsdale.

Feel free to PM me with any questions.  This is a great item for all of you looking to break into the gear department of airsofting.

Accessories & Gear / MICH Helmet Cover
« on: August 17, 2006, 11:16:05 PM »
Does anyone know where I can get a desert MARPAT cover for MICH helmets?

Looked around a little on the forums, didn't see anything specific to MARPAT or MICH.

Most of the covers I've seen, on the internet as well as on the AA boards, only fit PASGT because the military hasn't made the complete phase out yet.

I'm looking at the MICH TC 2001 right now.

General Airsoft Discussion / Latitude/Longitude of Four Peaks?
« on: August 01, 2006, 10:37:10 PM »
Hey everyone, I'm trying to find a topo/aerial map of the place where we like to play at four peaks, with the concrete structure and everything.  I found the Four Peaks wilderness, but after I searched around on Google Earth for a while I couldn't find the actual place.  I was wondering if anyone knows the lat/long of where we play (I know it's a stretch, but who knows?), or I think someone pulled up a topo once.  If you can tell me how to find it, that'd be great. Thanks.

RedWolf is having a pre-order on Multi Cam BDUs.  They're only selling sets (pants and shirts) but the price ($50) is comparable to buying a brand new BDU.

The other cool thing is that pocket placement seems to be much closer to USMC standard issue than most MARPAT uniforms I've seen from TruSpec and whatnot.

Anywho, here's the link:

AEG's / Ordering an M4, AEX or AirSplat?
« on: July 03, 2006, 04:05:08 PM »
I'm ordering a Clasic Army M15A4 Carbine (the one with the collapsable stock).  I was originally going to order from AirSplat because they had the cheapest price I could find plus free shipping.  However, when I added in a battery and a charger, I found that the total cost was about the same as when I ordered the same stuff (gun, charger, battery) from AEX and applied the 10% discount that Popapalooza posted in another thread.  However, AEX said the whole package was 7 pounds heaver than what AirSplat said, so I wanted to make sure I'm getting the right stuff (all metal, the right battery, etc. etc.).  If the price really is that similar, which place do you guys reccomend?  Is one of the stores overseas and the other state-side?

Here is my cart from AirSplat: http://www.airsplat.com/viewcart.asp?CartId={78431289-3F19-419DEVEREST-BF5D-1555B775CE42}, AEX uses cookies so I can't link to my cart but this is the gun: http://www.airsoftextreme.com/store/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=1860:d31dc2e42581e2336c8633d24ffebf11.  Those are the same gun, right?

Sorry guys, turns out the site I was using to host the images (Yahoo!) changes the URL every couple minutes <img src="http://www.airsoftarizona.com/firearms/forum/images/speech/icon_speech_sigh.gif" border="0">, so you have to go to the link below to see them:

Alright, I've heard a lot of you talking about the money you've spent on airsofting, so just for kicks I decided to make a poll.  How much have you spent on airsofting (this includes gun, mags, gear, etc.)?

Accessories & Gear / fixing a battery
« on: October 24, 2004, 10:21:54 AM »
Hey, some friends and I were out airsofting last night and one of my friends, through use of just a tad too much elbow-grease, popped the plastic connector off of his battery.  It's a brand new battery that he just bought becuase the last one he had broke (literally melted... charged for too long), and the battery is still perfectly good except for the connector.  Does anyone know where you can buy new connectors, or have some kind of solution?  I know he would really appreciate it!

Accessories & Gear / AK selector switch
« on: October 24, 2004, 09:46:05 AM »
Does anyone know if the firing selectors on the AKs and Spetsnazes can replaced with the regular ones?  I know the lever looks cool, but I had dificulty when I tried to use it.

Accessories & Gear / Barrels and Accuracy
« on: October 14, 2004, 06:17:21 PM »
Hey all, I just read a post somewhere saying that barrel length only affects accuracy in real guns, and that in airsoft barrel length only affects muzzle velocity.  Is this true?

AEG's / Thinking about buying an AK Beita Spetsnaz...
« on: August 09, 2004, 05:09:53 PM »
Hello everyone, I'm a fairly new airsofter... I only own an electric blowback pistol right now, but I'm looking into an AEG.  I was thinking the Spetsnaz because, from what I've seen and heard, it's small (good for CQB, which is mainly what I'm doing right now), reliable, and fairly upgradable (my goal is to get 350-375 fps on an 8.4v battery, hopefully no more than 1700 mAh).  Does anyone have any suggestions, or know of a good review?  Thanks for your opinions and suggestions!

Sounds great and all, but I don't think they want you using your airsoft guns to pick off illegal immigrants.  I'm sure it would be a great experience though.

AEG's /

The AUG is a great all around gun... It has a long barrel and is therefore accurate, it has a high ROF, it is very reliable, relatively light-weight, and the scope options on the mil version are great.  The great thing is that it is maneuverable enough and has a high enough ROF that it can be used at close range, but it also is accurate and powerful enough to be used for medium to long range.

This could either be the start of peace between Palestine and Israel, or the point in which conflicts get much, much worse.  Hopefully the first scenario will play out.
