General Airsoft Game Discussion / Rhodesian Revolt 2
« on: May 29, 2013, 08:31:46 PM »
It's back and even bigger this year. The location will be a few hours further from the last one but trust me the drive will be totally worth it. The guys have put a lot of work into building up the field so the price it a little more. As of now all teams other than the rebels are full. Being a rebel is a blast since you dont have to do silly drills and the people who play on that team bring so much entertainment and chaos to the game.

estimating around 150-250 people this year

Hope to see some of you guys out there!

General Airsoft Game Discussion / The Rhodesian Revolt

Hey guys. This was a really big event in Utah they did last year, but got interrupted thanks to a drunk hillbilly threatening to shoot us because we were on "his property". We weren't trespassing or doing anything illegal, Its a long story.. Anyhow, this game is the reboot to the one they originally started, however this one is being held at a different AO. Its at Green River which is about a 9-11 hour drive depending on what route you take. Dont worry, this field isn't private property and the local authorities like seeing us out there using the place for something good.  The cost for registration is only 20 bucks.. Not bad compared to some major events costing near 200 bucks.

This is going to be an epic game at a sweet AO (I love this field in Green River) For all the details here is the site for the event http://rhodesianrevolt.com/index.php

Hope some of you can make it. The people at WeaponBlender hosting this did an awesome job last year and the props they have make it all that much better. The drive out there will be worth it i promise.

General Airsoft Game Discussion / Support Class

I tried rolling this idea around back in Utah but never really got serious about it and figured I'd get some input here to see what you all think.

I usually like to roll around with my 416, 8 mids and sometimes a side arm, but i started using my m249 and have fallen in love with it again. I have to start a new loadout from scratch since i usually rocked all black or almost all black. I'm a dead man if i do that here. I was thinking about doing something like this that is already built and because it looks cool.

Its not the loadout i'm curious about but actually playing the role as a true support gunner.

I'd like to roll with a squad and provide plenty of cover fire, help break the barrier and get the team moved up, stay back/move up to create choke points or lone wolf it if need be. What i really need to find is an effective way of providing ammo for people if needed. Say if anyone ever does ammo restricted games. Some ideas were carry lots of speed loaders painted bright orange so i can toss them to people low on ammo, carry little baggies of ammo for high caps to even carrying an auto winding speed loader. Besides resupplying people with ammo, I was wondering about any other ways to support people. Do any fields allow those, "spark-less" smoke bombs? Even if they do claim to be, "spark-less" I still don't believe that they are. I may get some more thunder-b kits to help clear out rooms and cause people to retreat.

I'd love to get some input so i can decide on how to do my new loadout and possibly rebuilding my m249, or sell it and start with a new one then make it into a beast.

Introduce Yourself! / Hello all

Hey everyone, My name is Jake, in-game i go by Ruffles. Currently i still live in Utah but will be moving down to Gilbert sometime in the third week of May. Been playing airsoft for a long time now starting when i was young springing away in the back yard with friends. Now some years back i finally bought my first AEG and now have quite the collection of guns and gear.

Here in Utah i went for the all black swat outfit and was really the only one to do so looking pretty legit, but i dont think all back is a wise idea in Arizona during summer haha. Good thing i have other outfits as well.

I love working on my guns and seeing what i can do to my gearboxes to make them run smoother and more reliable. Im not afraid to open up my gearbox in the fields if there happens to be something wrong. There was an airsoft store just 30 minutes away from me (Weapon Blender) so i was always there looking to get stuff. Im a pretty handy tech and techs are always good to have around  :P

Anyways I figure i'd make the intro now to get to know some guys and find out where all the airsofting happens in Arizona, There is always weekly game here in Utah and im hoping to make it out often when im out in Arizona.
