AEG's / Echo 614- anyone have exp. with its durability?

I'm looking for an aeg as an alternate to my primary (I break shit) on a bit of a budget. What I've read about the echo 614 is good...but I haven't seen any reviews of long-term durability. Wondering if anyone has run a bunch of rounds through theirs, and what their feel of this gun is.

AEG's / FAMAS parts- sources?

So I ran my little google+search button features, but didn't come up with any sources for version 1 mechbox parts. Here's my list of questions:
which parts (other than the box itself, trigger mechanism, and tappet) are common to v2/v3 boxes?
is there a source for replacement parts, and if so, where?
what are the known issues with the v1 gearbox?
is anyone other than TM going to come out with a FAMAS any time soon?
I'm looking to get a second AEG, and would love to have a FAMAS as an alternative to my AK, but i'm painfully aware of how frequently AEG's can break, so I don't feel comfortable buying a gun with NO sources for the bits and gomers that break. I can deal with long lead times on orders, so any source is acceptable.

I'm ecstatic!
I bought my first pistol today, a SA XD 9mm 5" tactical, I couldn't be much happier. As a perk, the gun club I'm a member to gave me a free mp5 rental. I'll be glad to get my CCW in a few weeks...after that I'll probably get a gun that I can *actually* conceal. A 5" tactical pistol is kinda hard to hide on a small-medium build guy.

Troubleshooting / G&G rk 104 stripping teeth on the sector gear

Very hard to see but that's the second sector gear this gun has stripped, it's missing 3 teeth that simply sheared off of the full ring (the gears that are driven, not the teeth that pull the piston). They're at about 5 o'clock in the picture.
Anyone know what causes this and how I can fix it? I'm going to get very frustrated if I have to change sector gears as often as I change mags.
