If you are referring to the handguns, they are not bad. KWC turns out some very fine weapons. Their Desert Eagle and Heavy Weight M9 are some of the best on the market. They are not very upgradable (if at all), but they are nice. I have owned 2 KWC sidearms myself.

The Maruzen series rifles are some of the best in the sport. The APS was pretty much on top of the game until the M24 came along to give competition. You would not be disappointed in the Maruzen rifle.

It is not too hard to upgrade the rifle to 500fps, but it can be costly. Some will tell you to put a spring in it, but you need much more. Durability upgrades (ie reinforced parts) will cost you right now, but it is better than having your gun geek on you at a dramatic moment.

I'll just put it this way:

I was told that the gun used in Predator was an M214 6-Pac, chambered in 5.56mm (that is from my source who is a loader on helicopters). They had been previously used as experimental field weapons and were man portable. I have picked them up myself and they are not that heavy. For the rest of the weight, 15kg of gun and 25kg of ammo is not that bad; it's only 88 lbs. Also, a 33lbs gun would dampen a lot of recoil.

I was in error about the cable in the pants leg; the barrels were not "cable driven", the cable was attached to a battery source, to power the gun, and hidden up his leg. As for recoil, that one webpage shows 'peak recoil force' only, the lower the rate of fire, the lower the overall recoil.

Besides, the webpage is inaccurate on other details, the M134 is called the GAU-2 (that's what I have loaded) and their ROF is 2000-6000 RPM, not 4000-6000. The M61 has an ROF of 4000-7000+, not up to 6000.

Sorry to see that. That part about Predator is not entirely accurate. The 5.56mm round would not have put the actor on his back, the minigun that was used was not "cable driven" with a wire down his pants, the actor did not wear any protection (the cases eject towards the ground), the 25kg of ammo is not too much to lug around, and the 20 seconds of sustained fire is about right...and these guns have a variable rate of fire: trust me, I load these things.

Licensing a gun owner does no good. All of us on this board, of the appropriate age, are licensed operators of a motor vehicle. When was the last time one of us had a wreck, a fender-bender, or exceeded the speed limit? Did that drivers license prevent someone from having those accidents or breaking the posted speed laws? I think not. As stated before, how many DUIs do we hear about every day? 99.9% of those pulled over are licensed drivers, did that license stop them from driving drunk? I can hear it now..."but officer, you can't arrest me for drunk driving, I have license a to do it..."

My point is, force a person to go to a government "training" program to get a license, and all you've done is force a person to comply with something. Their gun license will not prevet negligence, accidents, or even murder. Everyone is responsible for their own actions and no, it is not the guns fault!

Mikey, are you talking about 'Killer' from Steve Jackson Games? I still have the book that outlines how to "kill" someone with all sorts of outrageous methods...balloon car bombs, rubber snakes, etc.

Me and my friends did play lots of games like this back in our school days. There is another movie about his topic called TAG that stars Linda Hamilton of Terminator fame.

Sorry John, I wasn't trying to run over you that day, but Old Navy had such a good sale and I just had to get a pullover fleece and some cargo pants...

Actually, I second that Amen. I find it pathetic that people will happily exchange gifts and celebrate the holiday, without believing in the spirit or the meaning behind it.
Vell, how do you like it (the one with the "triangle" sights, right)? CDNN has them new for $275, and I was wondering how good of a gun it is.

John... a TEC-9 huh? The OA-96 - very cool. Did you trade the DMPS for the stuff, or sell it at the show?

I like the M9 very much. It is just as comfortable as the P99 with a much shorter (and better) trigger pull. The triangle sights are really neat. The bore/grip angle is 111 degrees, so it sits low in the hand. That will help whatever little recoil the 9mm will put out.
