4th - 5th of sept will be the dates the 4th if you want to come up and camp 5th if you want to play.Cool thank you, will put in for the time off tonight. Not sure about the game idea lol but I'm open to less "traditional" types of scenarios. Really looking forward to getting out of the city for awhile, relaxing, playing some airsoft and having a few beers around a fire. See everyone there. /
Location will be posted soon as well.
i'd say standards. mids tend to jam and break more than standards. some mids arn't bad tho. i suggest you don't use hi-caps, being they are gay, and a hassle. just buy a few of those 400 round speed loaders that look like m4 mags. i have 2 and i love em. Even at big ops like lc i didn't have a problem with only 5 mags....Ive actually been looking for a High capacity speed loader but the ones Ive seen all had bad reviews and trouble with jamming. Do you have a link to a site where i could get the ones your talking about? ASGI has some but they are the ones made by king arms and have horrible reviews.
A friend had a flaming hog, they are pretty cool for mid lvl players.Cool thanks, I have a few higher end guns but im just looking for a cheap cqb m4 style gun, and think that might be it, or i could go for the G&G cqb H.
Xavier, how are the Airsoft GI G4's ?I'm curious about them also, was thinking about getting maybe the flaming hog or another cqb friendly model.
I prefer mid-caps, but I'm getting a little more picky on which ones I use. I have a couple G&P 130 round mids that I've been using and I've got a hi-cap as a backup. Lately my Mids have been jamming, and after I pulled them apart and had a look, I found that the 130 round mags are a "double-stack" setup, with bbs sitting staggered, next to each other. I'm pretty sure I overfilled the mags at one point or another and spread the internals just enough that the last few bbs (7-10) jam next to each other now. I'm switching to 80 round mids (G&G has clear internals for simplified troubleshooting too), due to the single stack setup (so much less to worry about going wrong.)
I don't like hi-caps due to the rattling when I run around, and the temptation to just spray like crazy and hope for a hit. I can't see using real-caps due to the fact that 30 rounds in airsoft will never be as effective as 30 rounds in a real gun. I figure if I have 2-3 bbs for every real steel round to compensate for the fact that I can't shoot through a bush even if I can see the target, and that wind affects the trajectory soo much more, I'm still keeping within the spirit of "mil-sim". Granted maybe 130 round mags are still too much for some events, and if that's the case so be it, but my AEG will never be able to match a real gun, round for round, so I think it's a little silly to think airsoft should be limited round for round. I'm definitely against box mags on M4's and all that, but I guess I'm not a total purist.
