Yeah, I'm out of school now too. I can't wait to have a TRUE learning experience in the USMC!

Hey, if any of you new graduates are thinking about joining up, talk to me (honestly I could use a few referrals, but I'm more than happy to answer any questions you have about what it's like to join up).

I don't suppose that one got reported to Game and Fish, ehh Andy?

Why would I report it, there is a season for Bobcats (they hide that kind of information in BOOKS). They check your license when you take them to the taxidermist.

I'm well aware of the fact that you can hunt bobcats, but I thought you needed tags (now I see that you only need a liscnece).

The "It's coming right for us, Ned"  just gave me the impression that you may have taken the bobcat unlawfully.

Yeah Young Vader was pretty Evil in his young days! Killing all the Padwons was kinda RUTHLESS,

You have to warn us about spoilers! Darnit.

I'm not reading anymore of this thread until I can see the movie. Such careless posting.

I knew that MGS4 was going to be for PS3, but I didn't know that old Hideo was going to work on this one too.

As long as it doesn't have Riaden or whatever his name is, it's going to be just fine.

The thing also said I was yoda. That stinks, I hate yoda almost as much as Jar-jar (inferior alien species!). If they put that freak Jar-jar in this next movie, I'm never going to see it.

Anyways, I think I'm going to have to say my favorite character was the "Storm Trooper".

Yes, you may say, "but the storm trooper isn't a real character." I disagree. The storm trooper (though he be a mindless pawn of the Empire or whatever) has a big gun and a really cool helmet.

He doesn't even care if he knows he's just an insignificant part of the whole movie, he just does his job until he gets sliced in half, blown up, or shot.

And that is why the storm trooper is better than any other character.

I have come across bobcats in the wild. I saw them watching me off the side of a hill. I kind of followed them around for a while. They seemed pretty docile, but then again, the few I saw had no kittens with them.

At least you didn't have the clever idea of petting the bobcat kittens or something.

I wanted to go but I guess I won't because I don't like to look at cowboy stuff and glassware (I like jerky though)!

Seriously, they aren't as bad as Raith makes them seem. They are maybe 1/2 the size of a Crossroads of the West show. I got my gun at a Ter-Mark show.

Ter-Mark is always a lot smaller than the Crossroads of the West gunshows (fewer people = fewer guns), but they always have some good displays, and who knows... you might just find the gun you are looking for.

I'm going because I need to stock up on cheap chinese ammo for my M1891.

Just to let you guys know, the gunshow is back in town. It is the Ter-Mark gunshow. It will be at the Arizona State Fairgrounds from May 21 to the 22nd.

I say pirates. If you're a ninja, you have to live by the "ninja code".

Pirates get to drink, pillage, swash-buckle, etc... and if you don't like the captian, just mutiny.

Pirates have much more personal freedom.

Just an FYI, I have had to deal with VATS/ Tarrifs like 2 out of the 6 times I have ordered stuff overseas. I have got VATS for stuff I have ordered from WGC and Dentrinity (never used UNC so I can't say anyhting about them). It's just going to be one of those things that may or may not happen with any purchase you make from overseas.

My advice: Just order from the place that can give you the best initial price and pray that you don't get taxed.  [-o<

General Off-Topic Discussion / Recreating MGS3
« on: May 10, 2005, 03:10:57 AM »
My friend and I are fans of the MGS series. We decided to do some MGS scenes... I just thought I'd share a couple of the better pics, to show our dedication.

MGS3 Didn't have P90's in it, but MGS2 did, so our recreation of this "desert" scene kida sucks (it's not desert at all),
but I like how it turned out.

Here's one of my friend (Snake) doing a little hunting. No animals were harmed during the filming of these pictures.

DEP is the s***
DEP isn't anything. It's just a way for your recruiters to keep an eye on you before you ship. Pool functions are a joke. Seriously guys...

What kinda pool functions did you have? We have run your butt off then do calesthetics pool functions. I'll admit, we certianly slack off when it comes to our military bearing, but we get a good work out.

Well, I guess we did work out pretty well, but doing PT with your recruiter once a month doesn't quite qualify "DEP is the s***" in my mind.  :)

Most of my DEP time was spent preparing letters for my recruiters to mail out and playing PS2 in their offices.

You only had to PT once a month!? How easy would that be? We PT weekly plus 1 Saturday a month. We are also "encouraged"(USMC encouragement) to work out on our own.

I know that the pool functions in USMC vary widely, depending on recruiter availability and geographical location. I know that some of the really rural guys hardly have to go to the recruiting office at all after they DEP.

Our recruiting station is one of the largest in AZ, they pretty much handle west Phoenix and lots of people from Glendale and other northwestern portions of the valley. The recruiters at our station have their stuff together pretty well, not to mention they almost always have a few people on RA... so there's always someone to encourage you on those long runs.  [smilie=armata_pdt_35.gif]
