Reviews / Re: Pipers M134A & A2 minigun UPDATED!!
« on: September 29, 2008, 11:54:43 AM »
I know this is an old thread about the P3 minigun, but I thought I could share this bit of information I got from Spartan Imports:

Quote
Wapak, Ohio, Sep. 29 – Piper’s Precision Products announced today that they have entered into an exclusive agreement with Classic Army to produce Piper’s innovative Airsoft M134 Minigun. Piper’s has granted Classic Army the exclusive rights to manufacture and distribute worldwide the Airsoft M134 Minigun using Piper’s design. The Piper’s Airsoft M134 Minigun will be offered in two complete packages, the backpack “Predator” version and the vehicle mounted “Blackhawk” version.

Piper’s Precision Products is the globally acknowledged innovator and leader in rotary, multi-barreled BB guns. Piper’s products are highly sought after by collectors, their functional reliability, and sheer enjoyment value. The Airsoft M134 Minigun is the culmination of years of research and is the finest BB minigun ever made. Using a combination of rechargeable battery power and bottled CO2, the Airsoft M134 Minigun is capable of rates of fire exceeding 70 rounds per second at velocities of up to 450 feet per second using 6 mm 0.2 gram plastic BBs. Almost every component of the Airsoft M134 Minigun is precision machined and designed to perform flawlessly under the toughest conditions.

Paul Piper, the owner of Piper’s Precision Products, owns the utility patent for any rotary, multi-barreled BB gun. Paul has designed and produced numerous types of multi-barreled BB guns, and acknowledges that the Airsoft M134 Minigun is his finest work to date. Piper’s is also the designer and manufacturer of the Strafer Mk IV, a law enforcement non-lethal application BB gun.

Classic Army is global brand leader in premium Airsoft guns. Paul Piper selected Classic Army to produce his minigun design due to Classic Army’s acknowledged reputation as a quality manufacturer and global distributor of high end Airsoft products.

As Paul stated, “Between my tested Minigun design and specifications, and Classic Army’s manufacturing and distribution capabilities, I feel we can offer the discriminating Airsoft hobbyist and collector the finest Minigun replica ever made at a very attractive price.”

The first production Airsoft M134 Miniguns are expected to be released in the first half of 2009.

Here's one for you Lawrence.  he wouldn't let me kick your radio, but he did want me to grope you ;)

Hey, I am down for a good groping, just be rough, that is the way I like it  In any case, it was great seeing you again, have not seen you since Lion Claws VI.

Good afternoon from San Diego, CA.  I wanted to give a big thank you to the Desert Hawks and Coyote Tactical for coming out to San Diego in support of the US Marine Corps.    Your support was greatly appreciated and from the bottom of this Marine's heart, thank you.

I look forward to seeing everyone again at a future event.  In the mean time, here are some scaled down photos from Saturday courtesy of Guido of Omega Force SoCal:

Gas Powered Guns / Re: NBB?

What you get should reflect how you play and what you want the gun to do.  If you want to stalk someone, you might want a gun that is quiet like a NGBB.  If you want realism, then yeah, go for a GBB.  They both will get dirty whether you like it or not.  It is the nature of the beast.  If your gun does not get dirty, maybe you are not playing hard enough.

In any case, when talking about velocity, stock, NGBB's are more efficent with air transfer to the bb as no air is wasted on cycling the slide.  The only down side is the harder trigger pull as 100% of the trigger pull is used to load, cycle, and fire.

With that said, here are 2 guns I have, a TM Sig P226 (GBB) and a TM Mk23 SOCOM (NGBB).  Both of them shoot over 400 fps (that is putting it mildly) with .20 gram bb's.  Both are accurate, both shoot far, and both would shoot ridiculiously hot if I were playing in the AZ heat.

The point of my post is to show that it really does not matter what you get because as long as you are happy with what you get, that is all that truly matters.  For a visual, here are pictures of the said guns and youtube video of some chrono tests I did at AEX San Diego.

Introduce Yourself! /

Good day from sunny San Diego.  My name is Lawrence and have been playing airsoft going on 3 years.  I am currently attached to a SoCal team by the name of Omega Force.  My team and I have played with a few of you at OPLC V and VI and look forward to VII.

Anyway, I am currently in the Marine Corps stationed at MCRD San Diego (no, I am not a Drill Instructor :D ).  Been in this gun club going on 10 years (Dec 2007).  Got my start in airsoft in Okinawa, JP (should have bought stuff while I was there when the dollar was freaking strong as hell).  I had the pleasure of living in the great state of Arizona from 1998 to 2002 when I was stationed in Yuma, AZ (heat is heat humid or dry).  Might be heading back out to Yuma some time next year, if I do not get my orders changed to go to 29 Palms...till then, look forward to seeing some of you again at the next big op.

Doc Hollywood, THIS GUY DOES NOT REPRESENT 858AIRSOFT.COM OR ANY OTHER PERSON, BUT HIMSELF. Please do not hold what he has said on your site as what we at 858airsoft.com think. You were my counterpart at Operation Lion Claws VI (I was the Marine 1stSgt) and I look forward to fighting at your side again.  Your desire to not play is an honorable and legitimate reason and look forward to the possibility of playing with you at a future 858airsoft.com operation that is more your style of play.
