The CAR15 (am I right on this? It's 1993, maybe it's an XM) was ridiculously accurate when I played the demo.  Probably didn't change much.  Nailing guys at 300m with a single 3 round burst from a moving Little Bird, while an ego trip, probably isn't too realistic.

Oh, and one more thing. The Army's game is easily the best new tactical game around, but it's still a little rough...Flashpoint is the best tactical game, ever... (You know, non CQB/HRT stuff...)

Of course, I have been waiting for Team Fortress 2 since...1998. Valve will never make another new game, they'll just keep releasing stuff we already have. I hear they're making DOD a retail game.

Like Paco, I was a dedicated CS player from Beta 1 until 6, at which point the game degenerated into total crap.
5.2 was the best CS there was.  But hey, DOD felt much more polished in it's first versions.
(Remember how crappy the lag was on the early versions of CS? You had to play as a team because you didn't know if what you were seeing was the same as everyone else...)

CS used to be an action game with tactical weapons.  Then it turned into an action game posing as a tactical game. I'm not sure where it is not, but unfortunately we now have all this stuff that's something along the lines of action games thinking they're tactical games (Anyone played Strike Force for UT? The models actually hold their guns sideways...)

Yeah, it's pretty good.
Definitely not without some flaws, but it's definitely playable and worth the download.

At this point I'm Sniper, Airborne, and on my way towards Ranger qualified.

Hooah.

I have a pretty good idea of what it should look like if you want to send me pictures.

1.    Ninjas are mammals.
2.    Ninjas fight ALL the time.
3.    The purpose of the ninja is to flip out and kill people.

The other problem with the Hudson is that it's just a static model.  So you pay $2500 for a hunk of wood and metal that just sits there...

Well I guess I get to use my useless airsoft knowledge here.

A company has made a BAR, JAC of Japan.  They do cost $1200, IF you can find one.  I know of 2 floating around in the United States.  This is a gas piece, and a beast indeed. 18 pounds (just like the real thing) of steel and wood.  Spec'd for very high pressures too.

The M1 Garand exists too, made by Smokey's I believe. Very rare piece indeed, Smokey's usually makes limited runs of their guns.  100 pieces or so is not uncommon.  The price is also usually upwards of several thousand dollars.  This one is also gas.  Not sure where they butchered the system from, but it's almost guaranteed to be an NBB ,which are better anyways. :)

The electric M14 does exist as well, although the gas M14 does not, to the best of my knowledge (and I would know if one did).  Nemoto Gun Works makes the electric M14, it's a custom job that uses an AUG gearbox (butchered for use in the M14).  It's based off of a model gun M14, the Hobby Fix I believe.  The gun cannot be field stripped, if it breaks you have to send it back to Nemoto for them to repair it.  The price is a mere $2500.  I've talked to a guy who owns one, so my info is accurate.

Wow...I may not really be too good with the technical side or even a very good player, but I know my useless airsoft trivia.

I wonder if you could hook a regulator up so you could adjust your operating pressure.  It's probably spec'd for some pretty high pressures, so being able to regulate would be very nice for skirmishing.

I had an opportunity to fondle the SVF6 today, and I must say, it is indeed a lovely piece.

It feels much tighter than my IED, there didn't seem to be any lateral movement of the slide.  Also it's very heavy.

It does have the same plastic chamber cover as my IED, which is sort of a bummer (really shows the wear from the slide).

Definitely a nice, nice pistol.

You'll be very lucky to find mags, and from my recollection classicairsoft.com never had JAC MP5 mags.

I think they were just switching servers.

I saw that too, and I was a little skeptical.  I wear Oakleys, which are double polycarbonate lensed ANSI Z.87 rated.  So they're safe for little things flying at them.

It also seems Scott discontinued the Turbo Flow goggles that are shown in those pictures.  Faulty, perhaps?

There are alternatives to building your own rig, there are manufactured regulators for airsoft guns from Japan, but they are not under $100, if you could even get them.

Ok I had a complete post but a server error lost it.

So to summarize:

The KWC setup will plug into your existing external line built into the gun.  The problem with the KWC rig will be that it uses green gas, which will wear out your o-rings, etc. Like any Japanese gas gun.  You could replace the o-rings and try something more durable, like ones made of viton or teflon, but you don't really wan't to strip your gun down if you have no manual.

Check classicairsoft.com for info on gas rigs.
