I imagine you would get at least 25 rps with a 9.6v.

My G36K gets 24 rps.  (set up in the description)  The M160 is a bit slower, but they still pull off like 20 rps with an M120 spring.

AEG's / Re: Sportline Question

CA's sportlines have crap internals.

Blue nylon bushings, blue aluminum inner barrel, weak sector gear, plastic spring guide, etc.  Current E1s/JGs have much better internals.

I haven't used any of the G&G or ICS sportlines, but E1 guns are pretty solid.  They need a few upgrades (new bucking, barrel, nub, and sometimes metal bushings)and a reshim/regrease and then they shoot great.

I've heard great things about the G&G CMs.  Good things about the ICS sportlines as well, but they don't seem to be as popular as the G&Gs.

I would personally be choosing between ICS and G&G.

What brand is it?

Is the whole gearbox dead?

SRC Gen 3 gearboxes would probably be a good drop in.  If you want to run 450 fps, you might install some solid 8mm bushings though.

According to a few posts I saw on ASF, the external parts are made by SOCOM gear and the gearbox is a VFC.

My battleaxe magwell conversion using magpul magazines feeds flawlessly every time. Cant say its the same for other brand mags but my magpuls work great.

My converter is for sale too, check out the for sale section, its going cheap. So is the rifle, separately.

Feel free to come by and check it out and give it a try.

Alright sweet, thanks for the info. Your profile says you are in Scottsdale, is that still correct?

I've been using the Battleaxe mag well conversion and a little block that I made which works perfectly on my Ares G36 ebb. The problem with the converter is that the back of the magazine has no support and can tilt back, disengaging the pick-up tube form the mag lip. I took the G36 magazine flip lever out, made a small wood block to take up the space, and put the pin back through it. Flawless. Considering that I have 20 mid cap and 10 hi cap M4 mags, this is great for me.

Is it possible for you to take a picture of the modification?  I should be able to figure it out once I have the converter in my possession.

Thanks guys

Oh yeah, forgot about the Top Tech 416.

Yeah, the TSD is a rebrand of a Gen 3 SRC.

I'd say it's a JG.  SRC's have a few markings, as do G&Gs.  I believe VFCs have full trades.  I think Classic Army might make a sportline 416, I'm not positive on that though.

Only three companies I know of make a 416.  SRC, VFC, and JG.  If there are no markings, it is probably a JG.  If it is a stock gun internally, see what the motor looks like.

JGs come with black gearbox shells.  I believe SRC only made a Gen 3 416, there are no Gen 2s, so it should have a blue cylinder and 8mm bearings.

VFCs have a normal colored gearbox shell and I believe the cylinder is chrome.  I think they have bearings, but not positive.

AEG's / Re: KS P90 or Echo 1 P90
« on: November 07, 2010, 05:38:32 PM »
They are the same gun.  The only difference between the E1s and the KS P90s is that the E1 comes with a Madbull Blue bucking and 2 P90 standard mags. (I believe those are the only differences) Supposedly E1s come with better shimming/grease jobs, but I can't confirm if that's true.  Either way, you're better off shimming and regreasing it yourself if you know how to.

From what I've seen on reviews and what not, you are much much better off getting a TM or CA Proline P90.  (not the sportline)  In some cases, it can be worth purchasing a clone and upgrading it over buying a TM, but I don't think that's the case with these.  The tolerances seem pretty bad.

Shredder had a ton of problems with his, but he is excellent at modifying guns, so it wasn't a huge deal for him.

I don't have a problem with clones, but the KS/E1 P90 doesn't seem to be a very good one.  For the price, you can do much better.  (unless you are dead set on a P90)

If you get one, it will be an okay gun, but don't expect anything amazing out of it.

I have flecktarn camo and OD gear, I assume that would go under the "woodland" category?  I'll hopefully be able to make it tomorrow.

I'm guessing even if you get a good one they misfeed quite a bit?  Aznriptide from ASR said the Battle Axe one is better than the PPA.  A lot of contradictory info I'm finding....I wonder if these are just made really inconsistently.

So you think I'm better off with the G&P G36 mags?

That's because Azn is silly like that.  He also likes Pokemon.

Well the Pokemon thing might be true lol......but still what do you mean?

The PPA magwell is better than the BattleAxe

I've read the opposite, why would you say the PPA is better?

AEG's / Battle Axe G36 magwell conversion, any good?
« on: November 05, 2010, 10:04:22 AM »
So obviously my STAR G36 mags just aren't going to work.  (see other thread for details)  G36 mids seem pretty iffy and I'd rather not spend like $60 on 3 G&P mids.

Lately, I've been considering getting a Battle Axe G36 magwell converter and a box of MAG plastic armalite mids.  I've searched around some forums and it seems that this combo works pretty well, but I'd like to find a bit more info.  (in case those people are just lucky lol)

So has anyone used the Battle Axe G36 magwell converter?  If so, how does it work and what kind of mags and bbs were you using?

If you have experience with a different converter, feel free to post your results as I'm open to another recommendation.

Thanks

Alright thanks.  My friend has some and we are going airsofting soon, so I'll try some of his.

If his mags work for me, do you think all the KA G36 mags will?  (not just that particular batch)

Any idea on the MAG G36 midcaps?

King Arms is not known for measuring things.  They are hit or miss across the board.

Yikes..I think TSDs feed in the STAR mags, but TSDs are pretty much trash.  I think Crosmans shoot better than their .25s.

My friend bought one of those huge bags of TSD .2s, so I wonder if he would maybe trade a few of his KA mags for some of my STAR mags assuming they both work for us.

Do you have any experience with the MAG G36 mags?

I'm assuming you have used the G&P mags? What bbs do you typically run through them?

thanks

Does anyone know how the G36 mag converters typically feed with MAG midcaps?
