For more information: http://www.meetup.com/Sierra-Vista-Airsoft/

We currently have 23 players signed up.

This is a higher caliber game, focusing on immersive, exciting MilSim action.  The story line will affect the logistics of each game. What occurs in one game will affect the dynamics of the games following. Achieving objectives have real-world effects. The campaign will run for 5 months, with games every other weekend.

The primary field in 800 acres of privately owned land. There is ZERO cost to the players for participation in this event.  We have several secondary, albeit smaller, fields that will be used as the campaign develops.

These games will not be the run-and-gun games that are common. Expect to perform a lot of recon, patrolling, or area defense.  Ambushes, Raids, sabotage, assassinations, rescues and VIP protection require discipline, stealth and patience. If you don't mind low crawling for 30 minutes to your objective, this is the campaign for you!

Check out the MeetUp site, and once you RSVP, you will have access to all the Operation Orders, Intel and logistics.

Local Games Listing/RSVP / Operation: Olympus Inferno commences!
« on: July 04, 2013, 09:34:40 AM »
The 1991–1992 South Ossetia War between ethnic Georgians and Ossetians had left slightly more than a half of South Ossetia under de facto control of a Russian-backed, internationally unrecognized government. Increasing tensions escalated during the summer months of 2008. On August 5, a Russian spokesman said Russia would defend Russian citizens in South Ossetia if they were attacked.

During the night of 7 to 8 August 2008, Georgia launched a large-scale military offensive against South Ossetia, in an attempt to reclaim the territory. Georgia claimed that it was responding to attacks on its peacekeepers and villages in South Ossetia, and that Russia was moving non-peacekeeping units into the country. The Georgian attack caused casualties among Russian peacekeepers, who resisted the assault along with Ossetian militia. Georgia successfully captured most of Tskhinvali within hours. Russia reacted by deploying units of the Russian 58th Army and Russian Airborne Troops into South Ossetia one day later, and launching airstrikes against Georgian forces in South Ossetia and military and logistical targets in Georgia proper. Russia claimed these actions were a necessary humanitarian intervention and peace enforcement.

Russian and Ossetian forces battled Georgian forces throughout South Ossetia for four days, the heaviest fighting taking place in Tskhinvali.  The Georgian government asked the UN for help. The US sent several units to "advise and assist". This action caused Russia to increase its hostilities. The US answered in kind and commences Operation: Olympus Inferno.

We recently acquired access to 15 acres of land close to a quarry around Huachuca City. We want to see if the odd-shaped land we have access to will work as a training area or even a chapter of OP:Olympus Inferno. The game will be simple move to contact. We'll rally at the meeting point and carpool/caravan into the field. Note: another unpaved road.

Rally point: Cochise County Children's Center
721 North Gonzales Boulevard, Huachuca City, AZ

Rally Time : 0700 am

Green/Tan teams.  RSVP with your team color.

Introduce Yourself! / Re: just moved back to Az

Hitman,
I have about 4 AEGs that need some work.   Do you accept work through the mail, or only Face-to-face drop offs?  Furthermore, what is your hourly labor charge?   I would also like a quick turn-around. While I realize every gun maintenance sessions will depend on the issues, can you estimate your turn-around time?

I live in Sierra Vista. I'm willing to make something happen ASAP.

Thanks for the warm welcomes.

Once I get settled in, I'm going to start work on a short film, which will feature several action scenes which will need actors (read: airsofters w/ gear!)  I will start a thread in the near future with more details.  I've anyone has an interest in film making / cinematography drop me a line.

Has anyone had experience with the local Ft Huachuca players?  I've seen some disturbing photos of kids running around Sierra Vista neighborhoods with their AEGs in full view.

Hello shooters.

As the topic line indicates, I'm coming back from deployment soon and being stationed at Ft Huachuca, AZ. As soon as I heard that news, I did a google search for "Arizona airsoft" and AirsoftArizona was at the top of the list (predicatably). I've perused your site, forums, and pictures and am impressed at what I see. What really makes me smile is the active community. It appears AA has a lot to offer.

So, they question is...what does Ghoul bring to the table? Short answer: hopefully enough to make me a valued member of the community.

I'm an officer in the ARMY. 42 years old. Married. I've been playing airsoft for about 7-8 years. I was a paintballer back before markers were chromed-out electric paint throwers. I left that sport when it became competition focused and the attitude and cheaters became a rampant problem. Ironically, I found airsoft to be the same caliber of community that ol' school paintball used to be.

I joined a large team in San Antonio called Ultimate War Games (UWG). After settling into the community, I was voted in the Texas Airsoft Organization (TASO) to represent the Southern Region. I moved to Lubbock TX, and founded the Lubbock Airsoft (LAS) site and built the Knight Watch team. We traveled to several statewide Ops and even visited New Mexico to skirmish with some teams there. A few years later, I moved to El Paso. I joined the state-wide team T.E.A.R.S and assumed command of my own "squad".

I've spent my first three years in the ARMY training at Ft Benning's Infantry school, getting commisioned, and then transfering over to MI. I've deployed to Iraq and am now stationed at Ft Huachuca.

I own an arsenal of over 20 replicas, with all the gear to match. I'm introducing my wife (Lotus) to airsoft. She has already purchased her gun (TM MP5 RIS) and is geared up in Multicam. Getting her some BDUs will be too easy.

I know how to shoot, move and communicate. I'm looking forward to being an active member of the community. I am also a video effects artist (After Effects). To see some of my initial efforts, feel free to visit my YouTube channel : paraicmulgrew

My wife and I are excited to get to know the community. I hope to see you soon.
