Troubleshooting / New Mag Misfire - M4
« on: October 08, 2009, 08:52:11 AM »
Ever since I started using 79rd G&G midcaps (brand new), the first 3-4 shots of the mag result in lobs that go about 8 feet out and occasional double-shots.  After the first couple shots, everything is completely fine and accurate until I switch to a new mag.  It's only the first few shots of a new mag.

Am I overloading the mag itself, giving too much tension to the spring?  I checked the hopup, air nozzle, etc. and everything seems to be in working order with nothing broken.  Any ideas?

Don't give PCSO another reason to restrict airsoft/paintball further.  It's already hard enough trying to find a legal place to play.

The wash has a lot of private property and no trespassing signs down there.

Thanks!  I got a ne battery that makes the motor rotate much faster, so I worry sometimes it will over-rotate the motor and burn it out. so I guess having a backp motor wouldnt be a bad idea.  also, does the tightbore barrel increase accuracy?
No, a tightbore does not increase accuracy, contrary to popular belief, it in fact creates a small, stable, and self contained wormhole, which dematerializes your bb at one end, usually the barrel, and then rematerializes it downrange towards the target, since power is wirelessly drawn from your battery, there are no wires to bother with when you first buy one, which is nice. Some of the older models required battery feed lines, which was annoying. While this does have the potential to drain your battery much faster, depending on how long you maintain the wormhole, the record is 38 minutes, since you have already upgraded your battery, this should not be a problem, it might infact, even solve your motor dilemma, with little or no hassle to you. So in short, after you buy a tight bore, no matter how horrendous your aim, you can thank quantum mechanics and amazing Chinese/American engineering for your newly found success on the airsoft field.

Thanks.  I needed this today.

Hello,

...it was about the separation between age groups. Why do teens haft to play with kids younger or hardly older? Why can't teens play with adults?
Maybe it is a legal liability.........

It's both, in a sense.  One, because all it takes is for someone to make an accusation that an adult did something and the news/police/etc have a hay day, especially when airsoft guns are involved.  Two, because half the time adults don't really want to deal with a lot of the immaturity that is out there.  No offense to younger players, but you have to admit that is true.

Maybe airsofters need to get their kit to the point where they can be in the field for more than 3hours without going back to the cars.

Couldn't agree more here.

That's the one I was looking for, although I thought I had seen it in an easier to install format before.  That's why I hate phpBB.

Agreed.  I like the SMF package manager abilities better.

I think hicaps are just for people who are too cheap to use a better setup.

This.  As a newcomer to the sport, I don't have any sort of setup, whatsoever, other than my BDUs.  So I have to use my hicap.  No sense in having mags in my BDU pockets.  It's hard enough getting car keys!

My dad flew a few missions in the SR-71 during Vietnam doing Chinese Recon.  He's got a few stories like that.  Incredible plane.
