Normally I would ask what the measurement from the top of your sternum to your belly-button would be, as when they have actual armor in them, the vest can jam up into your throat if the armor/vest is too long.

A "rule of thumb" is to buy the vest one size smaller than the t-shirt you wear.  I have a 44-45" chest, and a Large CIRAS/LEO Carrier fits me great.  I wear a medium, however, because a large is too long and when I sit, I get a chinful of armor/plates.  I am 5'10, 225.

It also bangs into anything i am wearing on my trouser belt.  A medium doesn't do this.  That said, I did have to add longer paracord to the cummerbund adjustment of the LE Armor carrier in order to get the medium to fit more comfortably.  I have a gap in coverage using a medium that I wouldn't have with a large.

All that said, based on your sizing, my guess is that a small would fit you better than a medium, partly because of the height issue.  I have both a small and a medium in stock.

Blah blah blah Blackhawk sucks Blah blah.

Blackhawk is one of the only gear businesses in the business of being in business.

That might not make sense, but they consistently have reasonably good gear, for usually a reasonable price, and, most importantly, they have it in stock.

That said, there is a LOT of gear out there much better than Blackhawk.  However, you will pay for it.  Sometimes a LOT.  Sometimes not that much more.

None of it's made in Hong Kong.  It's made in Vietnam. :)  Some newer stuff is being sewn in Korea, and they purchased a US sewing facility to take care of Berry Comliant orders.

Yes, they copy other designs, but there are only so many ways to sew a pouch.

Now, if you're still interested in an Omega holster, I have one I will sell for stupid cheap because I am clearing them out.  What gun is this for?

I also have one or two Safariland 6004 and a couple of Eagle SAS drop holsters, as well as the usual stock of High Speed Gear holsters.

It all boils down to what you want to spend.

One of the reasons surplus stores have gone the wayside is due to the changes the US government has made in their surplus policies.  For a time, even BDUs were being destroyed versus being surplused, under the misguided notion that the anti-IR reflectivity "coating" in the BDUs would fall into enemy hands....regardless of the fact that much / most of it was washed out of the fabric by the time the BDUs hit the surplus market.

I have a GPS unit in my rig. But I don't use it for airsoft.  In fact, I don't even play airsoft.  Where am I? What am I doing here?

16/25, which ain't failing.

Actually, it is....that'd be 64/100, which would be a "D".  Ok...TECHNICALLY passing....

Kurn, if you know the answers, why do you need to see them?  :D

It attaches just like it shows

if your question is actually one of how well it attaches and what issues might surround that type of attachment, that's slightly different.  Yes, I am a grammar Nazi.

Anyway, I would never attach my sling to PALS webbing like they show in that picture unless there was no other alternative.  I would use a "D" ring on the vest.  If your vest doesn't have one, well, there you are.  One of the downsides to this type of sling (one that requires a vest platform to use).

A SpecOps Wolf Hook will do the same thing for slightly cheaper (and you get the vest-platform portion and the weapon-connector).

NODs are available in the open market, so there's some plausible deniability. :)

So, you guys often talk about dealing in stolen (not surplus) US government property (that is classified as a munition, in addition) on an open Internet forum?

Jacko left Neverland anyway, so that mission is off.

He got tired of the ranch because it had reached 15 years of age.

Boonie with ghillie suit burlap
Multicam shirt
MARPAT pants
OD belt
One desert tan boot (left)
One dark brown boot (right)
Black glove, no sequins, right hand
Sage glove (also no sequins) left hand
Desert Flectarn camo paint for my right side face
Auscam camo paint for the left sife of my face

Man, that'll be good to go and it's the freakin' BEST cuz you all ain't fucking D-boyz or nuthin, yo!

Not to nitpick, but a Callahan is for 5.56 mags, the Tommyhan (based on Tomcat) is for 7.62 mags.  The mag pockets are sized differently.
