.... I dont think we ever completed it, but I thought the idea on "intel" with the playing cards is a great idea as well. -Joseph

That was completed and unfortunately Tan lost.  Tan had a Pair of Aces and Green had Two Pair (unknown what).  Out of the other objectives Tan won two and Green took one.  So everything combined we ended two and two since we scrubbed the mission at the bridge.

And to the fact of being out numbered, Tan did a GREAT job of force projection.  In addition not one person on the team said anything about the numbers.  It looked like everyone had a great time, and that was why we were there.

The new M15A4 CQBs come with alot of parts already full upgraded.  CA has their own equivalent to a silent piston head set, and supposedly come pre-installed on the new shorty's.

It would be Nice to see if that is true.  My CA M15A4 CQB just came in the end of last week.

Accessories & Gear / Question for those with ICOM Radios
« on: January 13, 2006, 12:08:05 PM »
I just ordered an Icom F4S.  It is coming with the hand mic but  I am looking for an good headset that wont break the bank, since the radio did.  I have seen some like:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... gory=53108

But I am not sure how they will hold up.  I have seen some out on the field that look much more durable but have not been able to locate them online.

Any Suggestions?

I have the G&P M203 Long version.  If you use the BB's in the shells the effect is more like a large shot gun.  But I Prefer to use the howler.  This is similar to what a real m203 is used for.  With practice and timing they can sometimes be pretty accurate.  Accurate in the sense that there is a “blast radiusâ€￾ associated with the howler.  The “radiusâ€￾ is determined by the game organizer, but usually is between 10 to 20 feet.  Just like the rest of Airsoft, this is done on the honor system, and we all know that is what keeps this sport going and growing.

On a side note, there was this one time in Prescott that the radius did not matter for me since the round hit my target in the forehead.  Like I said earlier “timingâ€￾ is important.

Just to let you know, Nerf no longer makes the “Howlersâ€￾ that are used.  This makes acquiring them very difficult.  They still make the small football, but these do not make any noise as they are coming in on target.  Which for me is what makes carrying the entire set up worth while.

When using the Howler, they must be stuffed down the front of the barrel and the shell, with the gas inside, is breach loaded as normal.  The pressure inside the barrel is what causes the Howler to launch.  I estimate the Howler can travel near the 75 meter mark, but I have never actually measured the distance.

I hope this helps answer your question.

When you click on "street zone" the pocket vortex is the right size for what we do, but they do not make the one with the howler anymore.  All the ones on that web site that have the "Howler" are to big.  Thanks for trying though.

Of the three, Parese suffered the worst wounds, taking gunshots to the neck and shoulder. It marks the second time in a year that Parese has been shot while in the line of duty. The officer also was wounded last August during a gunbattle that killed Phoenix police Officers Jason Wolfe and Eric White.

He may want to think of a new line of work!

My friend ran into three people on a server, who did nothing the entire game but hid and each had over a hundred points by the end of it.  I not sure if there is a program out there that just creates points or not.  The stats were like 0 kills, 1 death and 121 points for each.  People were calling them stat hackers.  One more thing to think about... but still a very fun game as long as you don’t meet up with these losers.

I wear Oakleys at the games and have had several hits on the lenses, with no problems or even scratches. At least on the lenses anyways.  At the last game I took a shot on the lens at an angle and it then hit my cheek, cutting my face.  Again not a scratch on the lense.  I agree with Sarge, find the lens shape that best fits your face.  But Oakley's in general get my pick.
