And what do you expect us to do?

Wait a couple years until you are an adult?  We were all kids once and know how much it sucks to not be allowed to do certain things, but there is no reason why you couldn’t find another hobby until you are of age.

Yeah.  I remember playing "James Bond" with a bunch of friends when i was really young, using toy guns that shot nothing.  We even faked our deaths... lol.  Maybe i should act out a death when i get hit during a game, just make it look all cool.  8)

Also... tha Sig226 he was using... he was calling it a "Sig266" if i heard him right...

Halo's kind played out. and MOST shooting games that are good can't be bought witout a parent. And I don't think Teletubbies has let out a new game lately

yes, the first paragraph was badly written and only written to get back at the other guy, but it made me feel better!!  :D

the second paragraph is true, and I know from experience. The Gilbert school system thinks we're too overweight and has a "healthy food program"( but we can have pizza hut's greasey personal pans),my friend was in trouble for vandalism because a paintball went wild( he's a bad shot), and a couple of the kids in my neighborhood's fastest transportation is their bike (mom's WILL NOT drive us everywhere, we're not always the only child) so they can't go far. Even if they could, where could they afford to go? :?:  :?:

Actually I did mean it in a legal way, so... owned. You can prove how mature you think you are but age is age in the eyes of the law. If you are over 18 and not mature then it is legally not anyones fault but your own when you do stupid sh*t.

Maturity at age is debateable, but leagal responsability and liability isn't. By agreeing that some "non-adults" (under 18) are mature and responsable enough to come out to games without parental consent and supervision, we are essentially opening up the floodgates to legal trouble.

yeah, I'm sure you WERE talking in a legal sense, since all the posts before had nothing really to do with legal, but how you acted. SO, if you fell like you must make up something to make yourself fell bigger in the eyes of a 16 year old, you do that buddy!

Also, (I think it was in the letter from an earlier post/link) but when you can drive, you can't really play anywhere else. And what do you expect us to do? We sit and play video games and don't really run around, we gain some weight and the Gilbert school district has a new "Healthy Food Program". We use paintball guns, a ball shoots wild and hits a house, we're in trouble for vandalism. Some of the people are too young to drive and that means they're only choice is a greenbelt down the street.

In a legal sence... yes.

no, in a legal scene 18 and over makes an adult, not a responsible person

The major point that was never raised in that article, was the fact that KIDS have no place playing airsoft GAMES.  Airsoft can be used as a great venue to teach kids firearms safety - it can be done at home w/o the risk of shooting a .45 through moms coffee table... Airsoft is great to show how the real thing works and operates.  While maintaining safety.

Airsoft IS NOT to hand to a group of KIDS and let them go shoot eachother for 3 hours in the back yard so mom can watch her soaps, or dad can finish that case of beer hes been eyeing all week...

The article also raised a serious misconception in my mind - that airsoft guns are as dangerous as real guns.  In a manner, yes - in reality, NO.  A real firearm will KILL ME.  An airsoft gun will render me blind and toothless - I've seen worse at the local trailer park.

This is why I like AA - "Are you 18?" "no" "then go away until you're mature enough, and old enough to play".  Kids should not be allowed, let alone recommended to play airsoft games - getting a kid outside is one thing, using replica firearms with enough power to shatter teeth at range with little to no supervision is another... Buy the kids cap guns until they can learn to be considerate AND safe - THEN when they're a bit older, they can have something that SHOOTS.  I grew up playing gun games - but none of them shot a projectile - its not needed or even wanted when you're that young...

Let them play paintball, well, what paintball has become anyway...  THEN let them play airsoft, when they 'grow up'.

let me guess. your mom dressed you until you were 16??? I'm 16, I have a job, I'm the leader of a flight in Air Force ROTC, I'm on the Drill team, I'm an A student (except a B that turns into an A every once in awhile in Spanish). I take care of my two dogs, and I babysit A LOT being the oldest of six. So, what makes a person responsible? ONLY being over 18?

If you play in a place that you can't be seen. You're probably out of the town. If you're out of the town. It's not illegal. If it's ot illegal THEN there's no problem. There's not really anywhere in a town that can't be seen or YOU wouldn't have found it. Someone can always find you.
