Troubleshooting / WELL VZ61 Charger problem

I just received the well vz61 yesterday from www.gunnerairsoft.com. The gun is pretty good for an AEP but it came with a chinese charger. I tried using a U.S. power adapter but it won't charge the battery. Can anyone help me with this?
