Troubleshooting / Re: KWA Range Problem

Drop by the KWA forums, and post there.  If it's under warranty still - give them a call.  I am sure they will help out.

p.s.  I think everyone who's read this thread is honestly respecting and thinking about the issues brought up - and thinking about how they can help solve the problem and still have fun.   the group on the field are a solid group of guys.  trust em to figure it out.

Jacob - you have acheived a fun environment.
You have acheived a relaxed atmosphere where adults run around and play with guns - and have fun!

And dammit - you are right - most of it was/is about sportsmanship.  You can't be there to babysit the players. You can just be there to make the venue happen, and get the people there.  And it was damn fine event if I must say so.  Probably the best event I've been to paintball OR airsoft.

You did it right.  And did it well.  You have ambassadors on the field, myself included, that attempted to keep the heat down, and the fun up.  I think we did.

there were a few "issues" but - no fist fights.  And lots of smiles.  I think that's 100% great.

If you have a comment or suggestion about a problem - write jacob a PM and let him know about it - and then trust him to either deal with it or not.  Some things need managing, others don't.  And then get out there and remember the main goal - have fun - and be adult - and play with airsoft guns.  Mission accomplished.

Jacob - it rocked.  Don't let anyone tell you different.

SWEET pics! These came out excellent! My personal favorite is this one  :D

Absolutely badass. You can hardly see the three snipers in ghilly suits.

Three?  I see two in gillies, and one M16 gunner?

PS if you get surrendered while your sitting down in a bunker (omega) *twice*. You cant not surrender. You know who you are. l2p or gtfo =D>

Flip -

I was the guy that this happened with - I was playing the medic role, Tan. I was instructed to hold my gun over my head for 60 seconds and then respawn.  I incorrectly interpreted this to to a respawn in place.  I will own that.  My apologies to ya'all on Green.

I talked with a few of the guys on the field during this event, who were around me.  They will attest that we spoke about it - and kind of worked it out, kind of not.  After, I left the field - I then talked to Jacob about it.  It was totally my misread of the way Jacob wanted to run it - and was not his fault.

Please see me at the field if you'd like to discuss it or ask me questions.

I apologize for the issue.  I feel really bad that I upset you guys.

Thank you all for a great day today!  I hope everyone had as much fun as I did.  I am just sorry my back got hurt and forced an early retire for me.

Jacob - thank you very much for all the work you put into this.  Kudo's - and thanks!!

jeremy - well done!  I think everyone on Tan worked great together to really make for an awesome 1st game today.  That was easily the best "action" I've seen on the field in a long, long time.

Thanks again!  Had a blast and can't wait for the next time.

Yeah - all the Tan nation has ever been trying to do is protect our countrymen from aggressors like Green.

We're just over here minding our own business, developing national defense systems, and Green decides to attack us!!

Tan will defend what is rightfully ours - and bring down the green aggressors!

You're either with the Allied Tan Coalition (ATC), or part of the Axis of green Symbolic Sycophants (ASS).  There will be no middlemen, unless you are french of course, then you can come in and contract with Green and Tan to build infrastructure poorly, but charge highly, and then vacate leaving only stinky cheese laying around.

But I digress.

Tan will defend what is rightfully ours from the Green transgressors!

Or to put it simply!

ATC will pound ASS!!!!!

General Airsoft Discussion / Re: Evike fucks up another one of my orders
« on: February 03, 2010, 08:36:32 AM »
When I posted about it taking 5 days - what I mean is that Evike had it in the "packaging" phase for 5 days.

It took another several days in transit to arrive.  I did get the order complete - but I was commenting on the fact that it took 5 days to pull the order from inventory- and place into a box.  All items were reported as in stock.  I emailed them, and they stated it was all in stock, and would probably ship that day, or the next day, but I had to wait an additional 3 days after that for it to actually get packaged and shipped.

I too work, develop, manage, and have created an e-commerce company (toolup.com) that sells hundreds of orders a day.  And we do have messups ourselves.  But over 90% of our orders, and more close to 95% of them actually ship within 24 hours of being ordered.

If there is a backordered item, that could cause a problem.  And I do understand that sometimes inventory on the website may be off.

But 5 days to box up my order?  No - I don't think I am being a crybaby.  Just reporting that it took 5 days to box my order and ship it.  If I actually take into account that I ordered on Late Friday, it would actually be 7 days.  But I understand that their shop doesn't pack and ship Friday night or Sat or Sun.

I recommend joining us highly.  I recently started playing airsoft with this group a month or three ago - and it's been all good.

Don't yell too loud!  I am getting setup with a motorola radio & headset - so a whisper would be fine!

Kev

hah what would a event with steelworks be without them yelling at everyone to move up and do what they say to!? :-k

it would be a lame event with everyone camping in the back of the spawn not doing anything but getting spawn raped!

agreed. i dont doubt some new players will "go rogue" as they like to say. needless to say thats how you lose. its going to take team work and with a large group of players that are new playing with each other its going to take a command structure to accomplish out mission. this isnt force on force guys.

Steel works im behind you 100%. i think you know you can rely on me. any thing you need let me know.

I am getting all verklempt!
