AEG's / Re: Upgrading RPS in a PTS Masada
« on: February 09, 2012, 08:06:59 PM »
EVERY major manufacture, and distibutor of airsoft rifles will tell you that increasing the rate of fire will drastically reduce the longgevaty of your rifle. IMO there is 0 need to have that kind of ROF, while Im not one to preach semi only, 15-20RPS is more then enough. Running 30 will do nothing but have you opening your gear box on the regular.

Accessories & Gear / Re: Accessories or Gear?
« on: February 09, 2012, 08:01:18 PM »
Optics are key, iron sights are good, but for fast target acquisitions a dot sight is key. I assume you use a high-cap. but i would also get mid-cap mags, and some way to carry them. I wear a plate carrier, but a LBH is just as good and is all personal preference. After the optic, i would then get you full load out, what you get is personal preference, then you can upgrade your gun. gun upgrades are supper importaint, you can be highly effective with a stock AEG shooting 350FPS if you play your game to that gun.

Should I get woodland or multicam is not a question you should ask cause they are for different terrain. Get the one that works for were you play.

There are a lot of things that you can do to improve you air seal, even with giid quaility upgrade parts. One is maitanance, keeping you gaskets lubed will increase life and improve seals, keeping moving parts greased will do the same, one thing that I like that I havent heard alot about is I wrap my hop-up in teflon tape after adjusting it (gave me almost 5 FPS on my G&G with a modify hop-up).

Oh great, another one of these pointless threads. Tell me friend, what is the point of having a 600 FPS sniper rifle? I play airsoft to have fun, not for the sake of hurting people.

Maybe that is be fun for him eh, if we all liked the same things this world would pretty god damn dull, roger? We use 550-600 FPS Aegs, semi only on the regular in UT. I personaly shoot one of these rifles and shoot and move just as much as someone with 350FPS. You just have to know your distances and fight accordingly. Also, I carry a pistol should I need to see the whites of their eyes when i kill them.

Dont hate just cause you dont have the fortitude to take a round from a high power rifle, or because you dont have the resources to have one yourself. As for "what if they get too close" do what we do, kick them out and dont allow them to play, this goes for any rule set for a game that is broken. If you cant trust someone not to break an engagement distance, how can you trust them to call a hit????

Its not a bad idea, however what i think the biggest advantage this system has is the same draw back, the ability to change the FPS with ought having to make any actual changes. while this allows one gun to perform as several, witch i think is awesome. It will also limit your ability to play on FPS limited fields. I for one dont trust many of the random people to follow the FPS rules, just look at the numerous vids on youtube of people not calling hits right. As a result I would not allow anyone with a rifle that could change its FPS so easy to play with it on my FPS limited field. Crono it at 320 or what ever, then shoot it up to 450 to play. Its a shame to have to do it in a sport were integrity is so important, but Im sure you can see why it would be necessary.
