I can't stand when people complain about certain things in every online shooter that I play. I was going to vent about how much I dislike these different terms/labels and how BS they are, but I wanted to know if anyone else here has the same feelings as me and I want to know which term you hate hearing the most.

So,
Which of the following gaming terms do you think is the biggest load of BS? (Please post any comments on the results page)

I ran into a very addictive game last night and finally beat it. I would love to see not only who else can beat it, but who can do it faster than I can. I did it all in one sitting (checked my e-mail here and there and also checked out the forums), but I never restarted the game. Below is the link to the game, flash is required, and I have also posted the stats that I received at the end.

http://www.ebaumsworld.com/warthog.html

If you enjoy the game, but have trouble with any of the levels, post here and I will try to help.

STATS
Levels finished: ALL OF THEM (I won't tell you how many their were)
Grenades used: 18310
Launches made: 967
Warthog bounces: 2671
Engineers popped: 6810
Time spent: 2:49:49

Gas Powered Guns / KSC Mk23 Parts
« on: October 06, 2003, 12:21:15 AM »
Does anyone know where I can get stock parts for my KSC Mk23? I don't see them listed at Den Trinity, WGC, and others. Anyone have any ideas or should I just start e-mailing these places?

General Off-Topic Discussion / Half-Life 2 Source Code LEAKED
« on: October 03, 2003, 06:06:04 PM »
Check out http://www.planethalflife.com/ if you haven't heard.
Do you worry that this source code leak will have an extremely negative affect on our HL2 online gaming experience?

General Airsoft Discussion / Has "Airsoft Items Wanted" become pointless???
« on: September 22, 2003, 02:55:39 AM »
After reading what HammersHeroAZ posted about "******USED AEG WANTED*****" ( http://www.airsoftarizona.com/forums/to ... IC_ID=2006 ), and seeing what Paco had said about his post being "really pointless", I feel that the Airsoft Items Wanted section may be pointless itself.

It looks like Hammers is looking for an AEG in a certain price range and didn't find it a "decent working gun" in the For Sale section. Within 24hrs, Paco had shot down Hammers for posting what he did and then locked the thread. Maybe the 100+ people who viewed the Wanted Used Aeg post would agree with what Paco had said, but I not only feel that Paco was rude to Hammers, but that by saying what he did about the post contradicted what the section is all about.

Hammers is looking for a gun at around $225 and didn't find one that he liked in the For Sale section. For Hammers to post in the Airsoft Items Wanted section seems quite practical to me. For example: Maybe I am contemplating whether or not I should sell my MP5 and have not posted anything on AA, but then I see that Hammers is looking for a good used AEG for a good price. This might look like a good deal to me, so now I decide to sell it even though I never posted it on the For Sale posting. Isn't the Wanted section for this very thing? Or maybe I know of another forum that has a larger ammount of people selling their guns. I'm sure Hammers is still looking around, but maybe he will never find this forum that I know of. But now that he posted his "used aeg wanted" post, I can inform him of this other forum. Both scenarios seem quite possible to me.

Hammers, if someone had one to sell, they may or may not post in the classifieds listed for sale. Therefore, this post (your post) is really practical. If you can't find a gun you want that's listed for your price, I'm sorry (because people won't be able to reply to your post since it is locked). You know, I am sure that you would save up a bit more money if you were looking to pay more, but you're not right? I am also pretty sure that you are looking in other areas than just the AA forums... like other forums or ebay, so for me to tell you to keep looking would in reality be a bit pointless.
I hope that Paco hasn't dissuade you from using the forums though (AA is a great place for airsofters), but I am sorry... it looks like the Wanted section isn't for you to post that you WANT an airsoft gun.

Just remember Hammers... if you are looking to buy a used gun and you can't find one in the For Sale section that is right for you, then there still may be someone on AA who has your dream gun to sell but has not posted it.

General Airsoft Game Discussion / IDEAS FOR SCHEDULING AIRSOFT GAMES
« on: September 20, 2003, 10:10:46 AM »
Because of the recent turnouts for our non-AA games and the fact that we frequently have almost twice as many people saying that they will go and then not showing as we do people who actually go, I have decided to post some ideas for scheduling games.

I first think that we should try to start scheduling games 3 weeks in advance. A good way to do this could be to post a poll asking who would be interested in attending a game held on that date. I feel that a poll would be an organized way of doing it since just normal posting always gets off-topic.

Next, depending on how many people are interested and if we feel that the game should continue, another poll could be created a week prior to the game asking who exactly is coming and how many people they are bringing. Then people can post on that forum with specific info.

Also, The person who is setting up the game should get contact info from people who are supposed to come. If I knew that people were going to be calling me up if I didn't show, I would be more inclined to keep people informed of my status.

Please post any comment or ideas.

AEG's / TM Steyr AUG problem! Need advice...
« on: May 06, 2003, 08:33:46 PM »
I recently bought a TM Steyr AUG from Den Trinity and played with it at the May 2-3 game in Prescott. I have maybe had the AUG for two weeks and during a game it stopped working. I was side-stepping (quickly) and shooting full auto and suddenly the gun stopped firing. When I pulled the trigger, nothing happened at all... no noise or anything. Here's what I did to try to correct the problem:

I first thought that it was a dead battery so I swapped it out for a fresh one. didnt change a thing.
I then thought that a BB was caught it the chamber so I checked and everything was clear.
I checked the fuse and it was just fine.
Paco took the gearbox and motor out of my gun and we decided to plug in the battery and completing the circuit while the motor was separated from the gear box. when pulling the trigger, nothing happened at all. No sound or sparks or anything.
Paco thought that it had to be the motor since all the connections looked fine, but when I took the gun home and tried it for fun, it worked. Now sometimes my gun will work and sometimes it won't do anything at all. I tried using both of my batteries, shaking the battery conection while firing, jumping around, shaking the gun, but there doesn't seem to be any pattern.

My only guess can be that plasic connector on the gun for the battery to connect to might be causing the battery to come loose every once and a while, but I can't really tell. Basically it must be the batteries, the battery connections, the connections to the motor, the motor itself, or the trigger mechanism.

I wrote Den Trinity with my issue two days ago, but they have not returned my e-mail (I doubt that the can really help anyway).

If anyone has any suggestions, I will try anything. I'm not electrically illiterate, so I'm not afraid of breaking the gun.

Thnx for your help guys!

I have been playing CS Source Beta for the past couple weeks... it is just like CS, but with the HL2 engine. To play the beta, you need to own CS: Condition Zero. Now, does anyone know if I will still need to purchase HL2 to play CS Source, or can I just doewnload a patch for the beta just like with the original CS?

Also, I downloaded a massive 1.7gig .zip file from file planet that has all the official HL2 videos. I had seen most of the videos in the bunch, but there are some GREAT clips showing a train station and an apartment building. I am beyond blown away with how this game looks!

Although the box set for the game should be pretty cool (I would want the box with the chick on the front!), I will probably buy the game over Steam.

After just now reading this thread for the first time, it seems like most of us are quite outraged about what happened to that civilian. Instead of arguing about it here, is there anything that we can do to really voice our opinion to our government? Write letters? Start a petition? Join the military?

It just seems that a lot of you guys are extrememely educated about this war and everything that is happening, and could do a lot more than just argue about it here.

Yeah, and I couldn't imagine being the seller and paying the final value fee of around 4 million bucks

Boondock and I can bring our "time bombs" that we used at one game... they seemed to be a blast (I know... bad play on words). We played great games with them (like king of the hill using the timers on the bombs, bombing runs, and double assault-type games).
