Still looking. Went looking around and found a 42 inch 1080p Westinghouse and Hitatachi at Best Buy for 1300. I'm a sucker and Really want the 1080, (I'll regret it later and hate my TV if I dont get it like a red headed step child) When I get a chance I'll check those sites out again and see if I can't find them on there. You guys know your TV like you know airsoft guns, thanks.

As much as I don't like Ultimate electronics, I would HIGHLY recommend them.

I couldn't agree more I know you probably have already bought it.. But I have worked in Sales of electronics my whole working career. I was a floor manager for Ultimate Electronics for a year before the military.

While my opinion of them doesn't matter they will take care of you. take a look at the Samsung televisions they have there and take a look at DLP technology. Don't get a off brand television because you will end up wasting your money. Don't settle for anything less than 1080p or 720p.  Do not under any circumstance get a plasma or a television with 1080i..

The difference between the two is simple. 1080i stands for interlaced . This means that every other line on the TV is on and switching back and forth. P is every line on at the same time providing a more clear picture.

Also if you get a TV from Ultimate get the 5 year protection plan . Trust me You will use it on no matter what TV you get and you also get a free cleaning on the tv as well.

If you get LCD make sure you get the highest contrast Ratio you can afford.

In conclusion I would if I were you .. I would get a DLP television. Samsung or Mitsubishi .

I have the Samsung DLP 61 inch. Beautiful television!

Good luck

I ended up picking up a Westing house 42 inch 1080p from Best Buy. Got the 3 year warranty and it came to about 1300. I know Westinghouse is no Sony but I have a comp monitor from them and it has worked perfectly. If fit my budget and so far so good. I did check Ultimate just before buying the Westinghouse, they had some good deals but everything was just outta my price range. They also had some display TVs for sale up front at big discounts. But they were older models and had some wear and tear along with a lot of hours on them from being on 24/7. Thanks for everybody's help though. I looked into everything that was mentioned.

I got a nice Sharp 1080p from Newegg.com.  Price was right, shipping was cheap and TV looks great.

Was a little iffy buying a TV online because returning it would be a pain in the butt, but all went smooth.

Yeah I tried buying it from the Ray store. But since my credit card was new it rejected the big purchase. Sucks cause they had it ready to roll supposedly. Ended up buying it from a store out here in Glendale.
