That would control for one variable, however, the dynamic process of getting KIA or wounded changes your overall time and score. That, as Vince knows, cannot be controlled for.

That would be correct.  You cannot control those variables that is not the control.  The control is facing the same OPFOR in the same positions for each individual teams run for that one evolution.  The OPFOR should not be allowed to "learn" from each run, they are not the ones being tested they are the control.

Good suggestion, I can agree with that and support it myself.  Along the same lines the competeting fire teams would have to be segregated or be given strict orders to not share what they saw inside the kill house.  I know several teams, my own included, shared their war stories after a run.  This intel in a controlled game would make any fire teams listening or going second or later in an evolution be the progressivly learning ones.

All in all I had a great time and wanted to thank all the teams who played and AMSOG, I have more feedback I'd like to share on Monday when I have a moment to collect my thoughts.  Benn and Vince, I'll see what I can do about getting those photos and videos passed over on Monday.  Worst case would be a burned CD with the info on Saturday if I cannot find an efficient electronic way to get it to you. (I should be able to ftp it to deserthawks.org for easy download and distribution).

I get it, it just doesn't make sense.

Alright, so had some time to digest and actually type something up so here goes:

First off, AMSOG, you guys threw an awesome event, thank you.  Your organization of the event was well done and the venue was great, please give yourselves a pat on the back.

What went well:
*Awesome venue, AMSOG and Desert Fox staff were polite and service oriented.
*Liked the team registration, it encouraged many to practice for the event as was a real team builder (for DH anyhow).
*Liked the many smaller raffle prizes instead of only one or two large ones.
*Chrono and registration went smooth, for us anyhow, A+ marks
*Love the patch, awesome touch
*Liked the flash bang rules
*Loved the speed shooting course, well ran, logical order, and just plain fun!

What can go better:
*Place hostages and terrorists in same place each time to provide a more even control factor, this will require a strict silence for all teams who have run the cycle to prevent teams later in the cycle from having an edge.
*Some sort of side pickup game for fire teams waiting for the next cycle, nothing super organized just some short self organized force on force fire fights will work to prevent boredom.
*Dedicated flash bang ref if flash bangs stay in the challenge, the tower ref had to juggle too many things going on plus filming to really stay on top of flash bangs.
*Would love to see a more realistic building lay out with halls and maybe even windows (I know this was requested by AMSOG but Desert Fox staff were not able to get it done before game day).

All in all, I had a great time and will sign up again in a heart beat next go round!

Does anyone have pictures/video from this event?  I'd definitely enjoy seeing them.

You can find some links to photos here:

AMSOG has video of most of the runs that should be posting over the next week as well.

I'll be compiling the video from different sources to edit and then release.  Like Kiley said there are links to some pictures on the TAC forums.
