Oh great. Stupid Paintballers.

I live in Scottsfail... I mean Scottsdale and I paintball on occasion due to lack of airsoft in my area,
I was talking to they guys that own the place (Splatter Ranch on Scottsdale and Jomax) and I asked them
if they had ever considered airsoft.
One of the guys said, "It's far too powerful, we tried it out and it shot straight through a 2x4. And it's hard to find bio-degradable  
BBS."
I said, "What kind of gun were you using?! You must have been using a Co2 powered BB gun because there's no way an airsoft pellet could penetrate wood like that! And besides, Bio-BBs are easy to find and purchase in bulk online!"
And they brushed me off because I'm only seventeen. *Sigh*
Are my chances of ever fighting in a real airsoft match completely ruined?
Are there any airsofters in Scottsdale?

I live in Scottsdale. No problems for me.  Granted, when I do go to games, I drive for at least an hour depending where I'm going.  You're not going to find something super-local.  You'll have to make some effort to get out there.  Don't paintball.

There are a few guys in Scottsdale, but you're not going to find any games within city limits.  I hope not, anyway.

Do like the rest of us and keep your eyes peeled for local games on these forums and you'll be good to go.

Which splatter ranch are you talking about? They've hosted airsoft games before. I've been to them. Softair depot and the Marauders organized them. Those games eventually stopped then SAD when out of business, but they had several last year.

The one on Scottsdale and Jomax. The only airsoft games they ever allow are private held games which are REALLY expensive and are on the weekdays.

I every once in awhile go to a friends house to do like a skirmish since he's got a few achors. Not very sure if it's legal, But we've had Cops drive by and we always drop our guns just in case and we've never had trouble so if you would like i can keep you updated and maybe invite you to a few.

I really hope APD finishes soon, it sounds like under 18 is allowed from what they have told me, so i might finally get to play a serious game now.  /

SERIOUS games occur at places like Ft. Knox (Operation Irene), Ft. Hood (Operation Bulldog) and Ft. Wolters (Operation Night Scorpion).  Less serious games such as Lionclaws are still pretty serious.

they are obviously too full of themselves to care. airsoft is a growing sport, soon they'll wonder where all of they're paintballers went........    hmmm i wonder?

I live in north north scottsdlae Fountain hills zip code but scottsdale adress, so techincly fountain hills. But there are about 10-20 of us at my high-school that used to do stuff, we went to MT. ORd a few times, but then half of them went to college.

I had your delema when i was 17, just wait it out another year and much more will become open. But even then you will be hard pressed to find something big that close to scottsdale. Four peaks isnt that far (the conico station at least), and TAC lets people under 18 as long as they have a full face mask and a waiver, just drive down there when they have games.

My sentiments exactly.....

Although not ALL paintballers are bad, just seems to be alot of ego involved.  
Never before have I seen so many poor winners before (gloating, cheating, etc.).
That, and I could never get over those goofy moto-cross-esce clothes......
