should i buy from evike.
« on: October 25, 2009, 08:41:55 PM »
alright. i have been researching a few products for my gas pistol and the only place that i could find the products was at evike.com aka airsoftpost. now i have heard a lot of bad things about evike from other airsofters, and there advise is no matter the situation, dont do business with them. now my question is, has the advise i have been given entirely true about evike.com, and that i should try and avoid them. or should i have now worries and go ahead and order from them.

If that's the only place that sells the product, then you can go ahead and take your chances.

I do advise you to stay away from them, though.  I've been caught in the run-around with them before.

iv ordered a couple things from them and had no problems thus far. everything came on time and all the orders were right, this might be a isolated incident tho but idk. i say go for it especially if they are the only place that carries what you are looking for.

Call them first and make sure whatever you are ordering online is actually in stock.

I ordered a couple clothing items from them recently, and it was my first time ordering with them.  I had no problems - shipping was fast, email communications were good.

evike.com ive bought like 3 guns from them and various other things, i just recommend running a cleaning rod through the barrel of any gun you buy from evike on a 5 star scale i would give them i 4.5 just because the barrels of new guns have factory grunge in them

it really doesn't matter since you should be replacing the barrel anyways.  My a&k m249 had a dirty stock barrel, think I cleaned it out? Hell no, just shoot it.

My team has never had a good experience with evike.
We went by the three strike rule... they gave us the runaround three times... with poor service, poor communication, and the same deal where they tried to charge extra for shipping the backordered items. Also... the time we called them, they said the parts were in stock... and two weeks later, the package arrived without them, said the parts weren't in stock. We called again... they had them just laying around... but didn't happen to send them to us when they made it in.

I've ordered from them twice.  I haven't had any problems with Evike at all.

My experience is they had a wide variety of goods but the staff didn't know their products or their pricing.  They had to use the evike website to find what they thought I wanted to buy and ask me if that was what I wanted so that, one: they could then try to find the item by looking at the picture on the website and Two: identify the price of the item cause nothing was marked.  I had to ask them pricing for everything I was interested in and as you can imagine I stopped asking due to the flying circus.  Then to round out and end my experience was when a staff member who was showing a GBB to a customer, fired and shot another potential customer in the arm with a bb. I decided to make a hasty exit, as I did not have eye pro at the time.  It was Ironic since, that was the reason for me going there, to obtain some eye pro.  I can see why sometimes online orders can easily be a routine hassel with them.
