Radio Problem
« on: December 24, 2009, 05:17:08 PM »
Hi, all. I've had an Icom F4S for about a year now and I've used it at several AA games with no troubles. However, my friend just recently got a set of 2 x Motorola Talkabouts. The problem is I can hear transmissions from the Talkabouts just fine but they can not pick up transmissions from my Icom at all. Does anyone have an idea what the problem could be?? Thanks for your time!

Ok, thanks for your help! I'm not that good with radios so I'm looking up info on Privacy Codes right now. Do you know how I should go about removing it? It could save me some time and guess-work.

EDIT: Nevermind, I figured it out. I thought you meant my Icom was using a Privacy Code, but I found out it was the Motorolas. I turned them off and now it works perfectly. Thanks!
