LOL, I've never used one of their ASH barrels and completely forgot about them.
I guess "coating" isn't a technically accurate word for the anodizing process on the Madbull/JBU barrels but they have been known in the past for having flaking issues.

Its the same reason why one will be more accurate than another of the same brand. Its physically Impossible To coat aluminum With inidization thats the exact same thickness thru-out. Some could be 6.01's some could be .05
my opinion on websites to order from are evike, asgi, precisionairsoft, or Nwairsoftoutlet.com they all have treated me pretty good, and actually give a crap after they send the product out.
