PWS Diablo Randomly Stops Shooting?
« on: April 19, 2012, 04:03:49 PM »
Recently my Airsoft GI PWS Diablo randomly stopped shooting. It worked for about 3 hours one day just fine and then it randomly stopped. Wasn't the battery and the tech guys at vanguard weren't sable to figure out what is wrong. They messed around with it and were able to get it to work for about another 15 minutes or so before it stopped shooting again. Their guess is it has something to do with the wiring or the motor but other than that they're not really sure. Any help is appreciated.

Thanks

The simplest thing to check is if any of the wires have cut/rubbed through their insulation and are grounding out to the gearbox or body.

I had the same problem with one of the G4's I recieved from ASGI. From my experience the issue was the wiring would pop off the motor. All I did was press the wire very firm to the motor clip and it hasn't failed yet.

Would you be able to explain excatly how I would go about checking everything, like what specifically I'm looking for?

Any exposed/pinching wires. Was the gearbox/body tough to put in? Like, more than should be (as far as pressure wise)? Than a wire is probably pinching. I went through it on my sr25
I use to airsoft, then I took a BB to the knee.

I think the problem was the red wire wasnt connected very well to the motor, like I took the cap off and the red wire basically popped off by itself, whereas the black ground was connected rather firm to the motor, fixed that and charging the battery now, hopefully that fixed the problem!
