Vietnam War Re-enactment
« on: May 12, 2012, 01:55:28 PM »
Hey guys,
So im wondering, would any one like to do a 'Nam reenactment? I would love to do this, im planning to buy the Pig aswell as Nam uniform. But, i would want to know if i could make a match. Im still buying the uniform and Pig, but i want to make a match. A dense forest thats somewhat humid and lots of creepy bugs and loud birds, lol. Anyone who would be a Veit Cong would be nice because most people want to be US. We would have POW secnarios and things like that. If you would want to play, but can find a uniform, this is a great site.

They sell uniforms, guns, or just about anything else for this. They even have Viet Cong stuff.
Evike sells M16's and War Pigs

Refer to the "Small Arms" section for weapons you can use depending on what side you are on.
So, if you are interested, contact me on this forum or thread, and if you would like to help me plan it personnaly, PM me and i'll give you my number. Thanks guys,

Most of the Russians involved in Vietnam were those associated with air defense consulting in Hanoi or were pilot trainers or mechanics.  Even though there were about 3000 Russians who fought, I believe very few were Spetznaz.  There is speculation that the Spetznaz involvement was limited to sniper teams testing out the SVD.

The Chinese, however, is a different story.  They would fill your "third-party" option a lot better.

To be historically correct, it would be more VC + Chinese and perhaps one or two Spetz sniper teams...

True.  But this IS a re-enactment, right?  I think I know of one person with a WW2 loadout, and I don't know anyone with a VC loadout either.

I am definitely interested, although I dont have an OD green uniform yet, it depends on when you do it as to if I can attend.  I have a slowly growing collection of Vietnam era stuff (M69 vest, Alice gear, etc.) that I've been wanting to put to good use!
