Is $250 your total budget or just the budget for the rifle?

If you can only afford to spend $250, consider going used (plenty of nice AEG's for sale on the board here) or going with an Echo1. Buddy of mine has been running an Echo1 gearbox for ages now with no problems. Great performing guns for the price. With the extra money saved you could buy mags, gear, ect. I have to agree with BOB get a used one and have a tech rebuild it for you. I got a g&g for cheap and had Spazz fix it up where it shot better than when it was new and it passed crono at LCXII.
