The good thing is you won a gun, what kinda bb's were you using? Also did you have a jam and keep shooting?

Yep, that's the very good thing. I charged up the battery (8.4v that came with it) and plugged it in, made the awful grindy noise that signifies teeth trying to strip. I tried adjusting the motor endplay, but that didn't work so i pulled it apart.

edit: blah....got new piston, all set to put it back together and realized what actually broke. gear drive side of the piston drive gear snapped a couple teeth off. boo.

Best game I've been to yet - Alex and I had tons of fun, everyone called their hits as far as I can tell, everyone worked as a team and acted as it if it was an actual milsim.  Everyone was very friendly also - shared resources and water if needed - true sportsmanship = real fun.
