I want to get either mp5 or m14. Does anyone have suggestions on what brand to get for either weapon.

All up to your budget....

I got a TM clone MP5 (Echo 1).. couldnt be happier.

If your on a budget i'd recommend echo 1 or JG.
If not, the two high end staples I saw most people with were tokyo marui (TM) or classic army (CA).

I believe on the Vangaurd post they mention which brand they rent for their games.  You could rent one of there's for pretty cheap and see if you like it.  I believe they have mp5's and m4's.

like he said it only amounts to the total sum of what you are willing to spend.

My pick for the M14= G&G M14 Veteran

here is the ASR review of the AEG by "The Crimson Falcon".

I dont have experience with many MP5's so I couldn't tell you.

As far as MP5's go, ICS MP5's are very solid and the Sportlines can be had for very cheap.

I have an Echo1 MP5. It is slightly upgraded and works very well for me.
It is also a very light gun. For the price its a good gun overall.

I have a couple other Mp5's and parts for them that I'm looking to sell, let me know if you are interested...
