I've been training for this Tough Mudder 9 mile mud obstacle course that involves fire/electricity/mud/water with the North Face shoes I talked about earlier and absolutely love them. I've been switching between them and the Merrell Moabs just to keep them from getting too stinky from repetitive use and keeping both pairs broken in. I'd say I prefer the Moabs a little better but both are great pieces of footwear.

Had those in Iraq, only last about two months before they fell apart, literally.

I think people buy them because they look cool, but I've yet to see a pair last more than a few months before they are shredded.

I buy them because they're comfortable for my oddly-shaped feet. I'm at about a year and a half of 1 day a week wear... so about 2 months of total wear. Still trucking.
