new gun is already messed up
« on: January 04, 2011, 08:06:52 AM »
Yesterday I received my echo 1 scar in the mail from airsoft gi. I shot around 10 bbs because it was late. I came inside, set my gun down, picked it back up and to find that the semi auto switch was like it was on safety. The auto was fine but not semi. Is it covered under warrant? What should I do?

Fire it on full auto a few more times and see if it still acts like its on safe.  For whatever reason, V2 and V3 gearboxes do this from time to time.  If it goes back to acting normal again, theres likely nothing wrong.

470fps? I doubt that. A lot.

asgi fires ever gun before it goes out. usually only enough to chrono the thing. QC of the products isn't asgi's responsibility, either. It's the responsibility of the manufacturer.

man when i say 470fps im not jokein just ask ron at gearbox, the little slip that comes with airsoft gi's guns had it shooting 430 with .20 so i took it to ron to have it taken down to 375 with .25 Ron chronoed it at 470 with .20.
