Combat Machine Question
« on: May 21, 2011, 07:10:44 PM »
I've been looking into Combat Machine M4's lately, and I noticed that there is a standard and a blowback version that is slightly more expensive. Is the blowback feature the only difference between the two, and if it isn't what other differences does it have? Thanks

Yes it is the only difference and the blowback shouldn't change the performance at all, I highly recommend these guns, both blowback and non-blowback.

If your looking at combat machines, you should definitely check out Airsoft Gi's G4 line of guns. I have a g4-a3 DMR and i have had no issues with it over the five months I've had it.

Here's a link tot he G4s:

I was thinking of upgrading it with Magpul parts from DiscountAirsoft, such as a CTR stock and MOE handguards and pistol grip.

i cant believe no one else mentioned this but, the blowback combat machines have a functioning forward assist that decompresses the spring, it is useful for increasing the life of your gun, and i have both the combat machine non blowback and a combat machine blowback, my opinion dont buy one from airsoft gi, both ones i bought broke in the first week. and they were assholes to me.

I'm just wondering which type of MOE handguard will fit on the Combat Machine. There is the realistic delta ring version, and an airsoft style delta ring version. Does anyone know which one will work?

I have both non blowback and blowback and I noticed in the non blowback the FPS is slightly slower than the the blowback. (320ish in the non blowback and 350-360 in the blowback) The blowback does have a functioning forward assist and is louder and that's about it for the 2 of them. Both great guns though.

One other thing, are Combat Machine M4's worth buying? I've been researching, and these M4's occasionally have serious problems with their wiring and accuracy, and I'm concerned that I might be getting a bad gun. What experiences has everyone had with this gun, positive or negative?

I've had nothing but good experience with G&G Combat Machines and G&G in general. The accuracy on both my blowback and non blowback is fairly decent. If you have a red dot I suggest throwing that on, they help a lot with the accuracy. The range on the blowback seems better than the non blowback but then again the non blowback is an older combat machine, the one with the USMC Eagle Globe and Anchor on it so I don't know if they changed anything between the blowback and non blowback over time. I've never had any problems with wiring. In my opinion I think the Combat Machine M4's are worth buying, both the blowback and non blowback.
