Ghazni Experience: Part 1 at Vanguard Sept 10 - 11

MTT is coordinating a new type of immersive military simulation adventure unlike any event that we have hosted before.

The Ghazni Experience will invite participants to become part of Foward Operating Base Ghazni in Afghanistan over two weekends of military simulation.   

Part 1 will take place at Vanguard Indoor Playground on Saturday, Sept 10 from 6 pm to 10 am on Sunday, Sept 11.
Part 2 will take place at the MTT Urban Assault Course on November 12 - 13.

Your adventure starts with training as one of two different units:

75 Alpha Explosive Ordinance Disposal
Special Operations Group Ghazni

Each unit will receive four hours of  specialized training Day 1 (7 pm - 11 pm) designed to prepare them for a series of night and low light missions using airsoft equipment in a simulated urban combat environment complete with role players, and mock IED's. Participants will also have the opportunity to train on military vehicles for Part 2 in November.  Missions will include:

Cordon and Search Missions

ABOUT THE GHAZNI EXPERIENCE COORDINATOR
The Ghazni Experience Coordinator recently returned from a six month deployment to FOB Ghazni, Afghanistan as part of an Explosive Ordinance Disposal Unit. During the TDY, he participated in several high value target raids and over 100 combat missions with both US Army and Special Operations Units.

Participation in Part 1 of the Ghazni Experience is not required for the second adventure in November.  However, this event will be a great opportunity to learn about low light tactics, IEDs, and vehicle operations.  Those who attend Part 1 will also be given a discount on Part 2.

Part 1 will also give younger participants (12 - 14) a chance to experience the event since they will not be able to attend the adventure in November.

Registration for the Ghazni Experience is now open at Vanguard Indoor Playground, Gearbox Airsoft, and The Command Post.

There are only 24 SPEC OP spaces and 6 Airsoft Ordnance Techs available for this adventure.

AOD spots will be available to those who have completed the MTT AOD program at Vanguard.

Please note that early registration for the event will close on Sunday, Sept. 4.  After early registration closes, admission will raise to:

Our staff will be at the Echo1 Airsoft Tour tomorrow at VIP to answer questions about the adventure and take registrations.

Registration has been extended to Thursday, September 8.  Event rules and final schedule will be emailed out to registered participants on Friday, Sept. 9.

MTT is looking for some non-combatant roleplayers to participate at the Ghazni Experience.  Volunteers will receive a free admission to a future MTT event.  Costumes and safety equipment will be provided for the volunteers.

There are four spaces available on an adult squad (18 and up) available at the Ghazni experience for individuals who reserved a space and cancelled last night.  These spaces will be available for $40 until 10 am Saturday morning.  Email MTTStaff@gmail.com to get information on reserving one of these spots.

Thank you to everyone who helped make the Ghazni Experience such a great adventure.  Everyone from the staff, volunteers and sponsors helped turn an idea into a reality.

Thank you to VIP staff for hosting the event and staying awake for so long! 

A giant thank you to Matt Lane for providing our participants with such a great military vehicle to use during the missions and Saturday night and Sunday morning.

The volunteers who came out to play as non-combatants really made this adventure better than any of our previous ones.  Having to interact, search, and interview made the experience much more realistic.  These guys did a great job learning to implement a new language barrier technique for the troops.

Finally, thanks to all of the participants who put so much effort into the adventure.  The level of exhaustion that the teams felt early Sunday morning did not diminish their actions in the final mission.

10:30 - 11:15  Roadhouse 1 - Day time raid on village of Disi - IED cache located and destroyed in place

11:15 - 12:00 Roadhouse 2 - Day time raid on village of Deyak - Command detonated IED discovered and marked for destruction

12:00 - 1:00 Roadhouse 1 - Night time high value target raid on Deyak - 1 enemy KIA, 1 HVT captured

12:45 - 1:30 Roadhouse 2 - Night time raid on Deyak - IED cache located and destroyed in place

1:30 - 2:30 Roadhouse 1 - Cordon and search mission in Disi - Team locates IED cache and marks it for destruction (team avoids a suicide bomber at meeting with Shura council leader)

2:30 - 3:00 Roadhouse 2 - Cordon and search mission in Qarabah - 5 team members seriously wounded by command detonated IED.  QRF is mobilized to help with the extraction.

3:00 - 4:00 Road House 1 & 2 - High value target raid on Disi - 2 enemy KIA, team finds and destroys sizeable IED cache
4:00 - 6:15 Rest Cycle
