Which Spring to upgrade to?
« on: September 18, 2011, 10:27:29 PM »
I need to put two new springs in:

Tokyo Marui Steyr Aug Shoots 300FPS with .2's

Classic Army m4 Sportline Shoots also 300 with .2's

They are both stock.

I want both around 350-400fps.

M120 spring will get you there so long as you have halfway decent air seal.

Air seal is something I strive for, both guns have been taking apart many times to find the best airseal. Its just that the springs that are in them have been dormant for 2 years, so they have lost some of their spring rate.

On most high end guns i can get 400 with a 110 all day, good luck on e1's or anyof tho's doing that.

I have 120 springs for 15 bucks man.

I'd also sudjest Metal bushings Because the nylon ones that are probably still in that marui will fail, possiby causing other damages.

arizona airsoft innovations has the spring for 15 and the bushings for 14

you can get 400 easy out of e1 with nozzle and hop up changes. I found g and p aluminum nozzle and madbull ultimate hop up work well in that platform.
bet you mofo's wish your sig could do this. haha

There are a lot of things that you can do to improve you air seal, even with giid quaility upgrade parts. One is maitanance, keeping you gaskets lubed will increase life and improve seals, keeping moving parts greased will do the same, one thing that I like that I havent heard alot about is I wrap my hop-up in teflon tape after adjusting it (gave me almost 5 FPS on my G&G with a modify hop-up).

I understand, you have to remember this AUG has been running from the stock spring for at least 4 years in my hands and I don't know how long from the previous owner. The seal has been worked on for a long time, I recently retested the guns and they both shoot at 350fps with .2's I had a bb mistake the first time testing I was using .23's and getting around 300fps. So the guns are running about where I want them.

Thanks for the advice though
