« on: October 22, 2011, 03:49:56 PM »
Hello i took this gun all apart and then when i put it back together it all looked fine and it all fit together.  the only problem is no matter what position its on if i pull the trigger it acts as if its on safety.  how do i fix this?

guessing by task force you mean mp5.

sounds like you eather missing theselector part that go's between the gear box and the lower reciver.
the little plastic peice in this pick, not the selectors

Eather that or you got the trigger saftey stop too tight.

this part circle'd in yellow.

Make sure the selector is put correctly on the inside. The Mp5 has a removable part that controls the selector on the inside of the body AND the selector plate on the gearbox. If the selector switch is wobbly, this could be the problem.

I dont think slinky's answer will work, as if your missing that part, the gun won't have a safety. Just two semi modes. HOWEVER, if that piece was screwed in too tight, it could lock it in permanent safe, as he said.

Take the box out, check the switch to make sure it moves freely, then check for both parts of the selector, one inside the body, one on the Gearbox.

welded......

I think perhaps it was locktite?

If you never took the box apart or touched the screws, it is the selector piece that goes in the side of your lower receiver.

Make sure its in correctly.

I currently own around 15 mp5's and this is by far the easiest thing to mess up if its your first gearbox.
Also, be sure to check that the selector plate moves freely, and that the selector plate spring is still there.
