You can not simply say "if you don't like being shot up close...this isn't the game for you" since the "if you like shooting people up close, then this game is not for you" can also be said to be true.
If this was pointed at me, please don't. I never said anything about liking to get shot up close, just that if you do get shot don't whine about it as it is inevitably going to happen. I don't promote shooting people up close, I know what it feels like to get shot up close, just like you or anyone else. 2-3 feet away in the face on multiple occasions both enemy and friendly fire. Maybe my take on the surrender/bang/etc rule is warped, but I don't see giving someone a bb to the plate carrier from 5-10 feet away a big deal. I'm not going to shoot someone in the face at that distance though.
This thread has gotten pretty messed up by several people, myself included. Sorry Ocean for anything I have caused. I think INFIDEL has said it best so far. Maybe try the "BANG!" instead of "Surrender!" for a while just to see what happens. Even though you explain it, when people get out in the arena it might go right out the window and they take the word surrender as an option until they get blasted and then complain about it.
