how to tell when the grenade is full of gas
« on: February 05, 2013, 06:58:53 PM »
Just got an shs 108rnd 40mm grenade for my m203 launcher. How do u know when it is full of green gas. Does it spray back out at you when it's full?  It looks like it holds alot but when I put the gas into for about 10 seconds it doesn't seem to go very far. I don't want to over fill it and breaks the seals or o rings or what not....  Any help is appreciated

If you put gas in it for that long and it functions normal, that might be just how it is. How many bb's are you putting in? And is your psi on the can low?

Should work fine on a 10-second fill.

I agree with Warlord on this one, you could be running out of gas, if you are I suggest holding it a little longer. When you put gas in it you can usually hear the gas go in and fill the grenade, you wanna fill it until that noise stops.

The can is a little less than half full....  I filled each hole up with bbs then tipped it upside down to get the excess bbs out supposed to be 108rnd so im guessing somewhere around there

Green gas doesnt lose pressure from being "low". Only if there is so little that there is no more liquid left in the container will the PSI drop, or if the temperature drops.

But if there is so much as a single drop of liquid propellant in the bottle, given the same temperatures, it will always be the exact same PSI.
