Assuming you're talking about Star M4 magazines, its the same as any other mag, just slip it on.  You might have to use a screwdriver or something to stretch it over the bottom.

You say (paracord) in your 1st post...is that the kind of magpuls you are wanting?  If so, it takes one (1) roll of OD tape and one (1) bundle of 550 cord.  Spend about 30 seconds per mag and your done.  Theres no secret.

If you are talkinga bout real magpuls they just slide on. The ranger plates will NOT work with star magazines or with hicaps.

Army surplus store should have it.  Home Depot/Ace Hardware *may* have it, I don't know.

It is said that on the eve of battle, Dienekes was told that the Persian archers were so numerous that, when they fired their volleys, the mass of arrows blocked out the sun.  \"Good,\" Dienekes laughed, \"then we\'ll have our battle in the shade.\"

Actually there IS a secret!

Get some double-sided scotch tape and put it directly in between the cord and the mag.  Wrap with colored duct tape or 100 MPH tape and you're good to go!

The double-sided tape provides another surface of adhesion so the cord doesn't pull out of the tape.  Some guys tie knots to prevent it, but that looks ridiculous, untidy, and makes it difficult for multi-mag pouches.

I also put a 1x1 inch square of 3M grip tape on the lower front edge of the mag to provide better grip.  I actually use it more than the cord but I don't want to take my mags apart again to get the cord out of all 11 of my mags.

Good idea.  Ive never had a problem of the cords pulling out tho.  It would help prevent it.  Im going to all ranger plates on my magazines (for my AR, I dont own any airsoft guns currently) Ill see how those work.  Ive always liked the cheapo paracord ones.

I pop off my floor plates, tie the ends of the paracord, stick em down in there, slide the plates back on, hit the tabs with a small BP hammer and voila!

Alot of us do that, but it won't work for STAR 30rd mags.

Unfortunately, tape is the only option.
